Provided by YP.comI actually had a wonderful experience with Goedeker's even after reading the terrible reviews I took my chances and ordered after verifying my product was in stock with Samsung. They sent my new washer and dryer directly from Samsung's warehouse to my door and it by passed Goedeker's warehouse which I find is where all the problems seem to occur in other unsatisfied customers. My washer and dryer arrived within 7 days of my payment being processed with no damage at all. I would def order from Goedeker's again based on this experience.

Provided by YP.comI've done a lot of buiness over the internet because I live in a fairly rural area. I've never written a review before today, but I'm so frustrated and unhappy with this company, I had to do something. My family purchased an old home that needed to be completely renovated. None of the appliances in the home were working, so I order everything from Goedeker's...fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Placed the order a month ago, and they still have my order as processing!!! My family moved into the home last week, and we're sitting here without any appliances. I contacted the company a week ago and was assured that I would have the order at my door by wed or thurs of this week. However, I logged onto my account today and my order is still processing!!! Still processing!! I have contacted this company numerous times and been treated with such indifference. I'm so disappointed. Please, take the name off Christ off your website if you're going to treat people like this. Don't drag His Name into it if your business practices are going to lack integrity and compassion to this degree.

Provided by YP.comMy Thermador convection double oven went out recently. I went to my local, nation-wide, hardware/appliance store’s website and put a new Frigidaire FGET2765KB oven into the shopping cart; however, I waited until the next day to make the purchase, and, lo and behold, the price had risen by $400 while the oven was in my shopping cart. I made the purchase, but I was fuming.
The nice thing about internet search engines is that they continue to work for you without you even knowing it. After I made the purchase, I noticed an ad for a company that I’d never heard of: www.goedekers.com. The ad showed the same oven I had ordered but at an amazing, too-good-to-be-true price. Of course, I was suspicious that something was wrong with this company. I asked my wife to check it out to see if she could find reviews of Goedeker’s; she did find reviews…glowing reviews.
Still skeptical, I decided to call Goedeker’s. It was the best call I’ve made in a very long time. I learned about Goedeker’s “white glove” delivery option (they bring it into your house, remove it from the box, look for dings and damage, remove the boxes, and even take away your old oven). Wow! So, I ordered the Frigidair FGET2765KB oven with the “white glove” delivery and canceled the order from the other place. I saved at least $550 ($750 with state sales tax) and got my oven two weeks before the other company promised delivery.
I am exceedingly happy with my Goedeker's purchase.
In the future, if I need any appliances, mattresses, or furniture, Goedeker’s will be the first place I look.

Provided by YP.comPurchased GE gas range and microwave from Goedeker's last month. Great price, I actually saved over $400 vs. Lowe's or Home Depot, it took a while for delivery, wish it arrived sooner, otherwise we’re very happy with it, will purchase from them again in near future.

Provided by YP.comI would give a zero if that were possible. I ordered my range 08/15/12...still no range...nothing but excuses. This is unacceptable. I have sent an email to steve, who is apparently the owner. We'll see what happens. Caveat Emptor...sick of the runaround. Next stop, State Attorney general.
I don't have enough information to look into your order. But I can assure, a situation like this is unacceptable to us as well. If you emailed Steve, I know he responded. He responds to every customer who emails him. I hope he was able to help you.

It has been over a year since I purchased all of my "high end" appliances (kitchen and laundry) from Goedeker's Number1Direct. Since our new home construction had just been completed I never took the time to go online and give a review. I have had a year to enjoy my purchases and I feel I owe it to prospective buyers and also to Goedeker's to state my experience.
My salesperson was Gary and I just could not have asked for a better experience. He was so very knowledgeable, answering all questions and helped me make wonderful choices. The delivery went great, right with my schedule and everything was in perfect condition.
I did do a lot of research on my products beforehand. I gave myself plenty of time to have the appliances ready to meet the builder's schedule. I went on line and had all the dimensions printed out so that the cabinet maker had all the necessary measurements. Gary highly recommended that I pay the additional $100.00 for the "White Glove Delivery" because it was a very large order - money, number of items and weight. We were so thankful, being seniors, with white-glove the delivery people unpack, inspect, bring into the home and even helped me log all my serial numbers.
My only problem was that our builder got behind and he was not ready for the appliances at the time frame he had given me and he did not want them on site until he was ready for installation. This was a big concern for me because I had stayed in contact with Gary as to when I needed my order and I knew that the agreement was to accept the order when all items were ready for shipment. Goedeker's Number1Direct did their part in having my order ready for the date I gave them but now my builder is not ready for the delivery. I was aware that Goedeker's does not have facilities to store but I contacted them and explained that I was in temp living quarters and would have to rent storage if they could not hold them for a couple more weeks. With Gary's help, I was able to talk to the owner and he agreed to hold the order for several more weeks in consideration of my situation. I was so grateful for this exceptional treatment.
From the beginning I had told my builder to take out the appliance allowance because I wanted to make my own selection and purchase. By purchasing from Goedeker's I was able to get the high end appliances for little more than what was allowed for the standard builder's choice.
I am so proud of my kitchen and laundry room. These are the two rooms I most especially love to show!
I could not have asked for a better company to deal with. I will always appreciate you and will continue to recommend Goedeker's Number1Direct to all my family and friends.

If you choose to deal with these people, make sure you get everything in writing. Make sure you get paperwork with exact model number sand pricing.
Make sure you get exact terms of extended service agreement.
Ask many questions and take everything for granted. Use your charge account so you will have the ability to dispute payment if necessary and watch your statement very carefully.
Do not accept any delivery unless it is in the original, undamaged crate and you go through the appliance very carefully.
Be aware some retailers will allow you to return appliances within 2 weeks if not happy.
You're right. There are many other retailers people can use. That's why we strive improve our service every day. If we failed you in some way, we are very sorry. By the way, you explained the process of dealing with any online retailer perfectly.

Provided by YP.comI had an extremely negative experience yesterday on my first visit to Goedeker's on Manchester. I was shopping for dishwashers and interested in the Electrolux models. I asked a salesman for pricing and his response was to question where I had previously shopped, to tell me negative information about that retailer, to tell me there was a manufacturer's pricing policy in place for that manufacturer, the list goes on and on. After requesting prices two times, I asked him if he was refusing to give me the information. He replied with every excuse under the sun but the price. To make a long and unpleasant story short, my husband and I exited the store with the salesman rambling in the background "Good luck if you shop at American Furniture." I did purchase a dishwasher yesterday, and also bought a beautiful refrigerator as well. I will not waste my time with Goedeker and their poor sales practices in the future.
The behavior you described is unacceptable from any of sales team. We are so sorry. We've been in business for more than 60 years and it is always our goal to treat every customer with respect.

Didn't research sufficiently and was shocked to find that the "free shipping" standard delivery, meant my 21 cu. ft. fridge would be delivered curbside and not to my door. Maybe other vendor's define "free shipping" as curbside, as well, but I consider this very poor service and would never use Number1Director again or recommend them to anyone else.
We're sorry you were confused about the shipping process. We'd love to offer free in-home delivery, but it is an impossibility. We work hard to offer the best service we can.

Provided by YP.comI look forward to getting home from work and watching a nice movie. I haven't had my hd dvd player that long, it has however been working overtime since school started. I am not a picky person when it comes to electronics, if it has the features I am looking for and is reasonably priced I purchase it. It goes very nice with my TV and since my TV is HD as well, picture quality is perfect I could not ask for better player. I had done some comparison shopping and contacted sales. The next thing I knew is that I had made my purchase and I getting my player. I will always continue to shop at Number1direct.

Provided by YP.comI purchased a Samsung washer and dryer during a promotion in which at least one, though I thought both, pedestal was to be provided for free. There was no information I recall saying that I had to specifically ask for it by calling in, even though when you ordered online (which I did) it appeared you automatically got the pedestal with each purchase (by each, I mean the washer and the dryer). I spoke to one of the salespersons using their "chat" function who confirmed that if I bought the washer and dryer the "pedestals" were thrown in for free. I informed her that I was ready to hit the "checkout" button. She did not inform me that I had to call in to get the pedestal promotion. I did have to phone in later because I could not complete the online order with my credit card. I spoke to a salesperson who informed me there was some systems glitch and she took my credit card number. TO MAKE SURE I RECEIVED CREDIT FOR THE PEDESTALS she filled our my purchase form as if I was paying by check so that if the credit card system was not fixed before the end of the day, I would get credit for the purchase that day SO I WOULD RECEIVE THE PEDESTALS. When the shipment arrived . . . no pedestals. I called immediately and was told I would be called back. No call. I emailed to their [email protected] address to explain the problem. No response. I emailed again. No response. I finally called again after some travel and was put through to folks in their sales department who informed me that since the promotion was now over and it would now cost Number1Direct.com money to get me the free pedestal, they would not do it. Incredible. The company should have at least contacted Samsung to see if Samsung would agree to provide the pedestal since Number1Direct.com made the error. But they refused to do anything other than offer to take my order if I wanted to buy the pedestals now.
We are so terribly sorry. I do not understand why we would not have taken care of this. I assure in the years since you posted your review, we've revamped our customer service and nothing like this should ever happen again.

Provided by YP.comThe delivery problem I encountered was that once the refrigerator left the warehouse and arrived in to the local freight hauler, they refused to deliver to us as we were "too far out of the city". The rep at Number1Direct.com was contacted and within a reasonable time, had found a trucking company who not only delivered the product INTO our garage, but helped us uncrate it and check it for damage! Yes, it required that extra phone call on our part, but given the chance to handle our problem, Number1Direct came through for us.

Provided by YP.comThis is an online distributorship. Their responsibilities are to:
1. Take the order and process it in a timely manner
2. Ship the product to the customer within the time frame promised
3. Provide telephone and email based customer service which SHOULD include:
a. Shipment tracking
b. Relationship management (know when I called and who I talked to)
c. Issue resolution
They can do NONE of these things. After waiting for the 3 weeks to pass and not receiving our new stove, which we needed badly in a house of 5, we were told that they couldn't say whether the product had even shipped. When we asked about the phone calls we had placed the week prior, in which we were given information saying that the product was available and would be shipped, we were told that there was no record of those calls. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told we were speaking to the manager (yea right). The "Manager" would not give us her last name or any other customer service contact to escalate our issue to. The kicker: When we said we would like to cancel the order we were told that we "may" be charged an $85 restocking fee, "if" the product was in transit. They couldn't TELL IF THE PRODUCT WAS IN TRANSIT THOUGH. The whole experience has been absolutely infuriating. Take your business ANYWHERE else because http://number1direct.com has no idea what they're doing out there in Missouri.
All I can say is that we are sorry. Since the time of your review, we have overhauled our entire customer service department. We never want something like this to happen to anyone again.

Provided by YP.comI purchased all new stainless steel kitchen appliances from Goedeker's on March 31st and was told I would have everything delivered within 7-10 days. After 3 weeks, I had to call our salesman and ask why we hadn't received our appliances. I was told that he needed to look into it and that he would get back to me. After a couple of days of not hearing from him, I once again had to call him and ask for the status. I was told that one of the appliances was on backorder but everything else was ready. I was told that the backordered item would be in THE WEEK PRIOR to our phone conversation!! So mid April I am then told mid May I can expect to receive the backordered item. When they installed my fridge he did not hook it up properly and flooded my kitchen and took 4 hours to come back out and fix his mistake. Then when he installed the over, he hooked it up incorrectly blowing the electrical line so the entire outlet is fried! We are currently fighting with them to come out and fix it. We have now reordered many of our items elsewhere and will never deal with Goedeker's again!!! COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

Provided by YP.comThey advertise that they are a christian family business so they are not open on Sundays. Do not let this fool you! They advertise one thing on TV and their website but they don't honor what they stand for. They don't return phone calls. I recently bought stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, microwave and range)from them. Their installation people made major scratches on the refrigerator door. I immediately called them and they ordered another one. The new one came two weeks later and we had to refuse delivery because it was also scratched. I called to say I wanted a refund on the refrigerator, that I had gotten one somewhere else. The appliance manager said I would have to pay a restocking charge, on a refrigerator that they damaged! They were willing to order another one, but after 30 days and two refrigerators I did not want to wait 2 more weeks and take a chance. They said because I had the refrigerator for 30 days they could not sell it, well, they couldn't sell it anyway because of the damages! I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and to my surprise they have a poor rating and over 40 complaints. BEWARE about buying from them.
You're right. Our BBB rating is low, but we are working with them and it is raising. We take this very seriously. We've expanded our customer service department and we've improved training. We never want this to anyone again.
