I first went in a little nervous about the pain but Shavon went over about what I can expect and what I should do in preparation before I come in. She made me feel comfortable and confident before, during, and after my ink was done. I HIGHLY recommended this fine establishment.

I just got a tattoo recently and i love it! This place was very clean and the people there were very nice, especially Shavon. She was awesome to work with, i love her custom work and she even made my tattoo even better than the drawing and idea i walked in with. i was very pleased with how my tattoo turned out and will definitely be going back when i want to get another tattoo and will recommend everyone to go here. i love this place and my tattoo. Thanks Shavon and the Purple Lotus Body Art Staff!!!!!

I went to Shavon's after reading all of the reviews here at yellowpages.com for my first piece. I felt that I needed to get a tattoo for spiritual reasons and that is exactly what was received. The studio is clean and comfortable with an natural relaxing, family-like vibe. My phoenix piece was designed especially for me and was expertly applied by Shavon. The work is EXQUISITE! Neat, even, colorful, and most importantly evokes what we set out for. I will be going back, no question. Shavon has a gift that allows her to read people and she applies it to the design. She knew EXACTLY what I wanted regarding style and is not afraid to voice her opinion. I didn't get just inked, I received a piece of art just for me.

This is the second time I have gotten a Tattoo from there, but the first done by Shavon. I got some large tribal work across my shoulder blades and back. She is amazing. The whole time she made me feel comfortable and was always asking if I was ok, which shows she cares about her clients. On top of that the quality of work I got is amazing. I would not go anywhere else to get a tattoo. Shavon and Alex your the best. Thanks so much guys.

Shavon is magic. I have no real words to say how happy I am I went to her to get my first tattoo. I went in with 4 different photos, showed her what I liked and asked her to do the impossible...read my mind. She did it. Her place is impeccable. Its so laid back and everyone is so nice and chill i felt like I was at a friends house. Dont take that as there is any lack in professionlism..Shavon got tattoos legalized in South Carolina. She is magic and I love my tattoo there is nothing else to say:)

Knowing I would never approve of the sterilization process or of an artist, I felt very at ease telling my daughter I would only allow her to get a tattoo if I felt comfortable with the surroundings and the artist. After turning down A LOT of places I told her I would visit one more. As soon as I walked into the Purple Lotus I knew I was in trouble. I was very impressed with how clean it was and the professional manner Rick treated my daughter. The artist Shavon is amazing. Not only did she draw me into the process, but she mesmorized me with her talent. I am very grateful, because she created exactly what my daughter wanted and did it with good taste.

Purple Lotus is so much better than I would have ever expected. After looking around for a good tattoo parlor, I was starting to get discouraged. No other places were nearly as clean, and run as well as Purple Lotus. The workers are the nicest people you will ever meet. I LOVE my tattoos and am truly grateful I went here to get my first ones. Shavon is truely amazing and one of the best artists I've ever seen. I would recommend Purple Lotus to anyone regardless of it being your first tattoo or your hundreth. Everyone will appriciate her artistic ability and down to earth attitude.

Shavon took a pathetic drawing I had and turned it into the absolute best tattoo EVER!!!! I gave her free reign on choosing colors for it and she made the tattoo more beautiful than I ever imagined it would be!!!

Shavon, Rick, and Alex are so awesome! Not only do you get what you pay for and get amazing work done, but the atmosphere is fun, free, and so relaxing! I have had some stupid people mess up my other tattoos and Shavon assured me that she can fix them and fix them RIGHT! And the tattoo I got today was beautiful and exactly what I wanted which other said they wouldn't do because it was a "risky" white tattoo. Love the people, Love the tattoo, and Love the place! Go there for sure! You will have a great experience and walk out with great body art!

I went in with a pic and Shavon looked at the picture and got the idea of what i wanted and drew me up my own custom design. She is awesome. I would recommend her to anyone that is considering another tattoo or their first one. The shop is very clean!!

I got my tattoos about 5 years ago. I was itching to get them re-touched as I felt like they faded and needed to be up lifted. I called on Friday and was going for the Consult that Saturday. As soon as I walked in I could tell that I was in a special place. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is wonderful. Shavon was working on someone and she already had a full load for the day but she took time out to give me a consult about what we can do to my tattoos to make them more feminine. It was just my luck that her next appt canceled so she gave me her slot and I got both my tats touched up on the same day. It was great. She is very professional and is very talented. I knew I was in a great place. I felt at ease and I trusted her design and ideas. She did an amazing job and I can't wait to see her again. She is going to design my next custom piece of art work. I love the fact that she is willing to customize something for me rather than have me pick something from a book. Her attention to detail is phenomenal. She made me feel comfortable and even though I was nervous she gave me a chance to breath in between since some areas hurt more than others. I would highly recommend her and I look forward to going back again soon. My hubby has been inspired to get inked so that's exciting. Loving it!!!

I love the shop's atmosphere, and more importantly, the shop's artists and staff. I felt at home and I could really tell the crew cared about making my experience as safe and comfortable as possible. All three of them were there to support me and even bring me fruit juice when I needed some sugar! Plus, the shop's live-in parrot was great!

Amazing - Shavon is the best. Patient and friendly and extremely accurate - I was concerned about the detail and she nailed it. Do not go anywhere else.

After hearing of The Purple Lotus from a friend and doing some research online, I went into this anticipating the very best and even then my expectations were exceeded. Shavon and her staff were wonderful and Alex is beyond talented! He took a previous tattoo that I thought may never be able to be properly covered and made it into his own work of art.

I researched a number of tattoo artist and found Shavon and purple lotus. Her style was exactly what I was looking for. The result is a beautiful custom tattoo, that I have been wanting for over 2 years. I will get more ink from this artist and highly recommend the Purple Lotus for anyone wanting custom work.

Shavon is the best. Very nice and gives you the personal touch. If you want a one of a kind art then this is the place.

Great Experience! This was my 3rd tattoo and I soooo wish I had found Shavon before now. Don't stress over your design, go in for a consultation and let her sit down and get to know you. Before you know it she is getting inspired about who you are and she starts her design for you. She is a great person and has won my husband and I over for life! When you walk through her door and take your shoes off it's all about you at that point. Shavon is an exceptional artist and the environment in Purple Lotus is warm and friendly. I walked in and wanted a ton of work done in a very short time and Shavon worked me in and made my ideas into works of art. I have nothing but positive remarks for my experience and I intend to come back for all my future tattooing needs.
