Purple Lotus Tattoos is such a far cry from the only other tattoo business I have ever visited that I don't know how to compare the two. Shavon spent hours working with my half-baked idea and turned it into exactly what I envisioned. She is a perfectionist, completely focused on the work she's doing when the needle is in her hand. Purple Lotus is the only tattoo studio I plan on visiting for future work. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience for my first tattoo at Purple Lotus. Everyone was very nice and professional. Shavon seemed to know exactly what I wanted and made it look amazing! Will definitely recommend her to everyone I know in SC!

This was my second tattoo and I LOVE IT! It was a much better experience than my first one. Everyone in there was so nice. My tattoo came out exactly how I wanted it. I would highly recommend them to everyone I know.

I had the most amazing time at Shavon's purple lotus. She didn't hate my "party" that I had with me. And was completely stoked to give me the robot that I wanted. The picture I had and the ink on my arm are practically identical. It's amazing. I can't wait to go back to see the work she's gonna do for my sister!

This was my first time getting a tattoo, so needless to say I was EXTREMELY nervous! I had been to other shops and the atmosphere always frightened me. In Shavon's shop I was relaxed. Bright colors were every where. When it was my time, she talked to me about what she was doing and was making jokes trying to relax me and take my mind off what was going on. When she started I was extremely suprised about how little I felt. She was great and she talked to me the whole time which made the process go by quick. After going here, I do plan to get more tattoos there. Shavon was so great and made the whole experience enjoyable!

My best friend and I came in today as tattoo virgins to get white ink tattoos. Needless to say, we had NO idea what to expect. Seeing other tattoo shops made us a little skeptical of quality work and service..and honestly scared us to death. Shavon was AMAZING! Her shop is so inviting and we immediately felt comfortable talking to her. We wanted simple lettering on the inside of our wrists, but weren't sure of the font, we just knew we wanted simple and elegant script. She nailed the lettering the first try!!! It was like she was reading our minds and knew exactly what we wanted. You can definitely tell that she has a TON of experience and her welcoming personality confirmed our trust in her and put our nerves completely at ease. Besides the fact that she is a great person, she and the entire shop are completely professional. As she was getting out her equipment, she showed us the new needles and such she was opening so that we knew they were clean, changed gloves and ink caps, as well as something as simple as a cup of water. Needless to say..Shavon and The Purple Lotus are the best all around and we will DEFINITELY be going back!!

Shavon just completed my first tattoo and I couldn't be happier. She is very professional, extremely knowlegable (this is an understatement!) and made me feel very much at ease with the entire process - from creating the image to the actual inking, through explaining the care of the final product. The best advice I can offer to anyone considering Purple Lotus is to trust whatever Shavon says! I was skeptical about her suggestions on color and shape & size of my tattoos, but after seeing the final result, I'm so happy.

My wife and I recently had tattoos done. We brought our own designs but Shavon gave us some tips and her "personal touch" for the best result! We are very happy with them!

A bunch of my friends and my husband got tattoos at the Purple Lotus, they all raved about Shavon and Alex. So when I decided to get my third tattoo I decided to go to the Purple Lotus. I had wanted to get six cherry blossoms on my shoulder for a long time, but I could never find the right example of what I wanted. I sent Shavon an e-mail asking her if should could draw something for me. When I went to check out the drawing it was exactly what I had in mind. I was able to get the tattoo that day and I absolutely love it!!! There is no black at all in the tattoo, just beautiful colors. I like my other tattoos but I love this one!! I am never going to any other tattoo artist. Shavon was sweet and she made me feel like we had known each other forever.



Oh and because my husband will never remember write a review. He got his tattoo done by Alex. The detail and shading is amazing!!!

I went to The Purple Lotus on a recommendation for my first tattoo. Shavon and Alex were so helpful and listened to what I wanted and created a beautiful butterfly incorporating my little girl's name. It is so pretty and artistic. I was so happy, I went ahead and got my second tattoo...a toe ring that Shavon created on the spot. All my friends are wanting one...so Shavon be ready! I'm now considering a third tattoo. Thank you Shavon and Alex for making Thursday night so much fun and giving me a beautiful and lasting piece of artwork. I couldn't be happier.

I walked in this shop one day out of the blue and told Alex about a tattoo that I wanted of a tiki mask for my calf. Apparently Alex and the owner, Shavon, were designing two separate tiki pieces for me to choose from. That right there shocked me because I've never had anyone do that for me, and I have many tattoos; normally it's just one design and it takes many appointments to fix it, but THAT'S NOT THE CASE HERE it was exactly what I wanted and more. When I finally came in for my appointment they had a bet going on which one I will like the most- the loser of the bet had to get the letter L tattooed on them by the victor. Sorry Alex! Shavon was right, tikis don't have ears. No hard feelings buddy, in my profession they call that "professional development". I would recommend this place for anyone unless you want some rinki-dink piece of flash, if you want that go to one of the other places because these people only specialize in doing custom work. Take it from me readers, I have a lot of great tats, custom is the only way to go in tattooing. Okay? Thank you guys (and gal) at the Purple Lotus for making my tattoo special. I know you are reading this Shavon with your morning coffee, so go ring your bell for me again. I love my tiki-god tattoo! ~~Matt

Went in for my first tattoo and was very nervous. Shavon and Alex made me feel extremely comfortable. I came in with a drawing and they made it even better than I could have hoped for. My flower tattoo has so much detail, better than other work I have seen. I completely love the work done by Shavon and would highly recommend her to anyone. You will definitely receive a piece of artwork not just a tattoo. I am already thinking about my next piece. Side note to Shavon - Polly's does have veggie burgers :-)

we fly back to sc for my son army gradution and she did 4 tattoos for us and she did a very awsome job. she is very friendly and sweet she did my mom first 2 tattoos and she alomost 60 yrs old my mom love the job she and so did i we thank her so much sorry it took me so long to do this . hope everyone is doing well lottie

I just got 2 tattoos today, Shavon did them both and she did an amazing job. I went in with 2 black and white designs and she helped me pick out colors and took some artistic liberties with them and they look absolutely incredible!

I just got my second tattoo here today! Shavon did such a wonderful job! She took the vision i had and made it even better, it is precious :). I would recommed this establishment to anyone looking to get any ink. The studio is impeccably clean, the work they do is the best, and the people are the greatest! 5 stars!
