Oh how I love it when ignorant people stir up something they can't understand or control. He was offended by her use of the internet to express her opinion (free speech - yay!), and will whine and moan about religious freedom being attacked (boo hoo). Well, Chuck Oneal, how do you like the internet NOW? Of course all press is good press, so I'm sure he's using this quixotic epic to whip his masses into a froth and to get donations from the faceless organizations who come to the aid of those who fly the right (don't tread on me) flag. Good luck fighting the entire internet bro, let me know how that turns out for you.

I live in the UK and came across this story on WND, but a few things immediately spring to mind. Having read some of the original postings that Julie Anne Smith wrote (either from her original blog or from the quotes on the lawsuit), she is making some very serious sexual insinuations about the Pastor and the church. Julie writes concerning the Pastor's teachings on modesty that he he spent 'a very unhealthy amount of attention' on the subject. What exactly does that mean? If she has an accusation to make, than make it, but making insinuations like this, without backing them up is pretty vile and desperate. The lawsuit quotes her as writing that the church 'turn(ed) a blind eye to known sex offenders in the church.' Again, what exactly does this mean? If you have an accusation to make, than make it, but making such comments by way of insinuation or innuendo is pretty disgusting, if you are not going to provide facts and proof. Yes, the Bible does say that Christians ought to settle their matters privately among themselves and not in front of the world in 1 Corinthians 6:2. It doesn't appear that Julie Anne Smith took this advice in writing all these things about the church on a secular website. Also, if someone is insinuating that there are sexual sins going on in your house, ought you to just remain silent and not have the right to defend your innocency? 1 Corinthians 6 is obviously talking in the context of fellow believers and if Julie Anne is making false accusations about the church, she certainly doesn't sound like a Christian to me. Again, I don't know the validity of her claims, but making drive-by accusations without proof is a very serious matter.Having said that, I'm not saying this is a 'perfect' church or has perfect doctrine. The pastor may indeed have a difficult personality and there may be a lack of love in the church. I certainly don't know as I've never attended Beaverton Grace Bible Church or even been in the state of Oregeon. I do take Julie Anne's attacks with a huge amount of suspicion and if she is lying, she has a great deal to answer to G-d for, in disparaging the public ministry of the Word. When we love the Truth, namely the Word of G-d, we learn that the difficult personalities that we dislike aren't as important as hearing the Truth proclaimed. Julie, should search her own heart.'What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice , yea, and will rejoice.' Philippians 1:18

This church is not a christian church, but an abomination, spewing fear, and greed. a true christian church wouldnt sue its members for a bad review, they wouldnt even get a bad review if they follow the truth of gods word, and not some twisted form of doctrine to suit a power and money hungry individual, you give Christianity a bad name sir.

Are you kidding? You are concerned with the glory of God and yet you are suing a former member just because she posted a review you didn't agree with? Shame on you. Maybe you should read the book of Corinthians.

you should be ashamed of yourself. You call yourself a man of God. You need to be suspended from the church, and never allowed to preach again. Have you ever heard of freedom of speech? What is wrong with you? How can you show your face in public after doing such a thing..... I personally am going to spread this story far and wide on all of the social networks and make sure it gets wide publicity. Shame on you. You are not a man of God for performing such acts.....

this is sick to think a pastor would sue some one for speaking thier opinion . and even a child too. this paster need to have an investagation done on him his family and his church youll probly find out something verry wrong is going on there . you can tell some of the reviews that talk good are forced through the wording other might be this preacher himself . i thought church and state where seprate . the fact that his allowed to use this law suit to futher torment this poor mom and daughter sickins me to the core this is way i will never belive in christian they are all the same liars , cheats, cutthrought, pimps , they abuser ther wives and kids thier whole cultur is sick . i hope this mother and daughter get some sort of resatuion from this church and pastor and the state for having to put up with this . and to the church if you dont like what people are saying check yourself and see if its them or really you . oh yeah and do the world a favor just because some says they dont like something you did does give you the right to cripple and kill them . you say we are the ones going to hell all i got to say is take a look in the mirror youll be there frist

This church reminds me of a story. Years ago there was a young boy crying outside of a church. He was astonished when Jesus appeared by his side and asked, "My beloved, why are you out here crying?" to which the boy responed, "They won't let me in. Jesus took the young boy by the hand, looked deeply in his eyes and said, "Dont be so sad, they dont let me in here either."

Really? A lawsuit for a negative review of your church? So then sue ALL of us. Your church is nothing in my mind but a moneymaking scam preying on the vulnerable. DROP THE LAWSUIT NOW.

that a pastor would be so weak in their faith and their ability to spread the word that they would sue anyone who disagreed with them.I'm trying to find the verse where someone left the Sermon on the Mount and told people they thought Jesus wasn't a very good speaker, so he had everyone ignore that person and tried to ruin them financially.I somehow doubt I'll find it.
