Stay Away !

I grew up in a church much like this one: I recognize the signs. In my church, the Pastor saw two girls come into church and sit down in the back row. After he had preached for a while, and got himself properly enraged, he came back to where they were sitting and bellowed at them until they were ashamed, and ran away. They were sitting ten feet from me. Their only crime was being black. So take some advice from someone who's been there. You want to find a Church where the Spirit of Christ dwells; forgiveness, charity, kindness, and healing. You DON'T want a church with a cult leader that sues former members to silence them.

Very shady and skeevy.

This place just wants your money. They will try mind games, they will lie, and they will flat-out beg for it. Don't go here!

This a cult.

they trick you into being in their little 'clique' then they oust you if you don't conform? What kind of religion does that? A cult!!

Could not agree more, but with which side

After seeing the report of this church on the news I decided to look at just what all the fuss was, I noticed that most of the recent reviews come from people who probably have never been there. The dates are all very recent. As a Christian I probably would find some of the behavior of the church suspicious if it were true, I suppose some of it is, and some of it isn’t. Those that attend there obviously find reason to stay and are biased in favor. Those that have attended and no longer go also find reason not to return. Hence the 5 star reviews and the One star. Very black and white! Everyone has a right to their opinion. However, I find that anytime someone disagrees with the gay lifestyle, or drinking, or some other vice, they are on a full out war with that person. While claiming tolerance, they (those who disagree) make every false and harmful statement about a church, religion, or person they can. I guess I have NO Right to disagree with them either. At the same time, the pastor taking to court when the Bible specifically says not to do so is also off base. While trying to stop the bad reviews he brought on a fight that will galvanize and destroy all that might be good in the church he pastors. I wonder if any of those things spoken are true? This is not simply about a Beaverton church, it is about the nature of religion in America, Jesus said ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

Terrible

I'm extremely disappointed with this church. The pastor has never heard of the right to free speech, yet he tends to encourage open hatred against members of the community who disagree with him. Yeh "love thy neighbor", unless of course your neighbor doesn't share your opinion, in that case, it must be just a metaphor. Then it's open to interpretation and this pastor thinks of it more like "get all your sheep to beat your neighbor with sticks".

Pastor was rude, unfriendly and arrogant.

I had a terrible experience at this church. It's very cult-like with the pastor at the helm. He is an arrogant man who misinterprets the Bible to suit his own ill-guided ambitions. Avoid this church and get your family as far away from this church as possible before it's too late!

The pastor is a sexual predator... Beware.

He likes the rape.

My review of the Beaverton Grace Bible Church

Watch out!! Whatever it is, it is not God's house. The place reminds me of a sick cult! Scary. Stay away.

What Would Jesus Sue?

Horrid cultish Pastor who should be removed from his position. He sues a former member for half a million dollars because she brought to light his cult's practice of publicly shunning family members and other church goers who don't meet his standards.I'm pretty sure that Jesus didn't try to take the Romans to court for a tidy profit. Nice work there Pastor - how's the whole "don't talk bad about me on the internets" thing working out for 'ya?

Their law suit is not at all what Jesus would do.

Your lack of ethics

You dont believe in freedom? Or maybe you dont believe that you should be accountable for your actions. Here is a news flash for you--the person trying to shut people up is usually the one with something to hide.

Really!!!

This lawsuit is at the very least, "OBNOXIOUS". This man is sick if he thinks that treating his fellow citizens in such a manner is in anyway Christ-Like. And the ilk that post scripture by Paul as evidence to support his behavior had better reread the Gospels. Christ even dined with the sinners and publicans. But even without the Bible, Common Sense should have dictated that this man no more has the keys to heaven than Satan himself!

Beavertyon Grace Bible Church

Matthew 24:5 and Matthew 24:11The pastor of this church by instituting suit against someone who disagrees with his message has done more damage to his credibility than anything this woman could have said online. By objecting to her statements, he actually lends truthfulness to her observations; not just in my mind but look at how public opinion views his actions by filing a lawsuit. This woman and her family should file a counter suit and bankrupt this church. Setting aside the argument regarding Freedom of speech - what about freedom of religion or to worship as one wants to do in this country. I would be very concerned when one church believes that they have the holy grail to attaining entrance to God or any heavenly being. The pastor's attitude and to opine his know-it-all stance would make anyone nervous given what the Bible teaches most Christians in the scriptures. I have come across so-called Christian pastors who teach their congregants that if women are not submissive and do as their husbands demand, the husband should divorce their wives. What most of these brain dead idiots fail to recognize or even include is the part where the church is to be submissive to Christ as an example. In other words, don't do as I do - just do as I say or how I distort the scripture. Meanwhile, one of the ministers who made this statement about wives being submissive to their husbands when on to commit adultery with his secretary and rob the church for his own selfish needs and desires. Many people no longer attend church today, not because they do not believe in God or have faith, but they no longer trust the leadership in the churches and that starts at the top!

Nonsense

Just, no.

Anti-Christian, Cult

Anyone in my opinion who takes a person to court for voicing their first amendment rights has got to be a evil person - a vile wicked, anti-christian who has something to hide themselves. And to ask for $500K - wow. Dude, get a life

Karma

Oh how I love it when ignorant people stir up something they can't understand or control. He was offended by her use of the internet to express her opinion (free speech - yay!), and will whine and moan about religious freedom being attacked (boo hoo). Well, Chuck Oneal, how do you like the internet NOW? Of course all press is good press, so I'm sure he's using this quixotic epic to whip his masses into a froth and to get donations from the faceless organizations who come to the aid of those who fly the right (don't tread on me) flag. Good luck fighting the entire internet bro, let me know how that turns out for you.
