Doctor Haines is an excellent physician. His bedside manor is second to none and his surgical skills are excellant.

Wonderful. They took me through the initial diagnosis to my decision to pursue stem cell injection and answered all of my questions and concerns with care.

I have a completely failed back with multiple surgeries. I have been seeing Dr. Haines for several years watching the degeneration closely. Last year my back indicated a real problem, Dr. Haines was methodical in his approach to make sure we did the right surgery to help me. He was informative every step of the way. Once he was sure of a plan we scheduled the surgery. I was hoping for 20% improvement, I got 80% improvement. My life has changed for the better because of his approach and his skill. Thank you Dr. Haines and the entire staff of Virginia Spine Institute.

Dr. Haines has provided me a path forward instead of one where I was heading backwards. His knowledge and skill as a surgeon have helped me to obtain an excellent outlook on life as I move ahead. I thank God that I found his office.

Diagnosed the issues very easily and came up with a solution with quick recovery time and relatively little invasion.

So happy. Having surgery was not something I wanted and tried to push it off. However, in the end it was the best decision I could have made and I am thrilled with the outcome. Dr. Haines took care of me every step of the way and never rushed me or pushed me towards anything I didn't want to do (even though I asked a TON of questions).

At my initial consult, Dr. Haines gave me hope that he could fix the severe spinal cord compression in my neck. Within a day after surgery most of the symptoms in my right arm were already better. I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome of the surgery and the expertise of Dr. Haines as well as his team. I will highly recommend VA Spine Institute to anyone with spinal issues.

Recommended to VA Spine by Dr. Peyton's office. I was diagnosed immediately with severe spinal stenosis. This is on j3/13, had emergency surgery on 3/17. They worked me into their schedule even with my blood disorder. Dr. Haines explained everything to me in advance of what would be done as well as when he was finished what he did. My experience has been exemplery.

Very good experience overall, again he was determined to find what was wrong and get me pain free and he was very successful.

Dr. Haines has performed 3 lumbar fusions on me and each time he listened carefully and helped walk me through my fear and anxiety related to back surgery. Dr Haines is an amazing doctor. I originally came to him for a second opinion and quickly change my mind for him to be my surgeon. He took the time to talk to me and under stand my specific situation and how best to correct my pain. I am now living spine pain free!

After a year and a half of experiencing debilitating back pain, and going to multiple physical therapists, pain specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and other specialists, no one was able to give me a clear diagnosis or effectively treat my pain. Thankfully I found Dr. Haines. He gave me testing that resulted in a clear diagnosis and developed a treatment plan that actually worked. He is compassionate, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled. If anyone is suffering from back pain, I cannot recommend a physician more highly than Dr. Haines.
