I ordered a door in Feb for over $4000.00 to much money I know, but my wife really wanted it. My wife takes time off work for a "Professional" to measure. The door comes and guess what its too large and no dead bolt hole. Send the door back they cut it down and now it is the wrong color and still no dead bolt hole. So I now have taken 2 days off work and my wife 1/2 day and still no door and poof there goes about $500.00 in lost wages, and hours on the phone and 6 months of waiting for a new door. So I finally tell the lady at Majic Window I wish I never ordered the thing and I am getting ready to cancel my order... and guess what... I am told I have to take the door because I am under contract to do so...
YES THEY HAVE THE COURAGE TO SUBTLY THREATEN ME...
Thank You MAJIC WINDOW for the wonderful experience...
And a special thank You to Mort Crim for believing in such a dubious company.

A terrible experience starting with an unprofessional salesman who promise the world and then don't follow through. To very unprofessional contractors who left our yard a mess after they finished leaving shards of siding and cigarettes all over the place. Then just a few weeks later the siding began to rip off the house. Once we called them they proceeded to give excuses instead of trying to fix the complaint and serve the customer they have done the opposite.

Recently had my bathroom done with a tub insert and wainscoting by this company. The result was great with no problems sales wise or with installation. Will definitely call them again!

Matt Masters of Majic Windows came to my house to price windows and installation. He wanted to know what my budget was and I declined to give it to him. He wanted to know who was bidding against him which I declined to give him. I was a project manager and V. P. of Construction for 30 years and have built over 10000 apartment units and houses over the years. I have some knowledge of windows! He claimed that fiberglass windows were priced the same as wood windows. Not in my experience. I asked for a sample and details of how the windows would be installed. He did not give me a sample window to inspect or details of installation methods. He did offer to give me a one hour presentation which I felt I did not need if he would just answer some of my questions. Matt said if I didn’t listen to the presentation he would not give me a bid. Matt left. I think it was a waste of my time for him to come out to my house in his Cadillac Escalade. I have a family member who has Majic Windows and I suspect they may have paid too much. In conclusion, a bad experience both in the factory show room and in person.

A salesman just stopped by wanting to give me an estimate on doing our siding. I'm actually thinking about doing the siding so I said sure. But when I wouldnt give him my phone number he wouldn't finish making the appointment. Why if they are in the area "doing estimates for 6 other neighbors" would he not do business with me if I don't give him my phone number?

Don't go near this Company! I bought 7 windows, worst mistake of my life. I bought the house I grew up in and the windows that were in here before kept the house much warmer then these crappy products. I have an insulated brick home and with Magic windows is freezing like the north pole. Read on with the hell they have put me through:

1. Guy came out and and wanted me to sign a blank piece of paper... He threatened me with the companies lawyers if I didn't sign it.. that was my first red flag.

2. I tried to back out and their lawyers (so called lawyers) called me threatening a suit against me, even though I didn't sign anything yet.

3. After they came out and damaged the place, putting the windows in all wrong(where do they hire their contractors? the cracker jack box) They still wanted me to pay. How can i pay for crap service.

4. Their employee put my uninstalled window on the ground..Yes I said ground as in cement and tried fixing it which ended up busting the window, he then installed it. I came home from work and complained to the main Company posted above. They fixed that.

5. I had pre-ordered a vent to go in the glass block which was to be installed in a half bathroom. THEY LEFT OUT THE VENT! (WAS NEVER FIXED).

6. After all was said and down and two years later I call them up to come inspect why the rooms were all cold. They took a year to get back to me. Not to mention their customer service reps have very poor attitudes (Allison). When I would call some how I got disconnected, imagine that!.

7. They finally come out a year later and inspect their window and find there are gaps looking straight outside.. Gentleman said oh we will have to get back to you. I had to keep calling them to try and get answers...A company should have to stand behind their Good name and Company and hunt me down to fix what they sold me.

8. Company calls and says " sorry but our warehouse says they cannot replace that window". huge gaps leaking air.

9. I bought a infrared thermal reader.... Called up Magic again to have them come out and look for themselves. Man comes out and says yeah i think your front bay window should be fixed...YA THINK? then get this....he hands us(my wife and I) a baggy of little 1 inch cut strips and tells us to go around and insert them into our windows and that should block out the cold......What the hell kind of craftsmanship do you call that?

Finally called up Allen Brooks and boy did he get nasty on the phone after telling him if someone did not fix this we would be contacting Ruth to the rescue.... Contacted Ruth and she never did get back with us... mean while my wife did searches and found out on other sites where many people in Michigan were scammed into buying garbage from this Company... YOU CALL YOURSELF AN HONEST COMPANY? you need to read the Book" The Raving Fans" then go into business.

Sincerely still freezing in Warren Michigan.

Bought Majic windows for my first house 4 years ago. Wife handled interaction with installers. Had a good experience. Just bought a second house, and had Majic replace most of the windows. They upsold me a bit, but after explaining things, it made sense. I expect upselling from any company I call for a quote. No more drafty zones. Majic did the trick again! There is something funny going on with these bad reviewers. I know the economy is still rough, but if these are competitors trashing Majic like it kinda looks like, I will be the first to tell you to give Majic a call. They do good work.

I had a great experience with Majic. I'm very happy with the product (installed nearly 2 years ago), sales process and service was also fine. I was talking with a friend who was considering Majic and was turned off by the reviews on this site, so I decided to chime in.

Majic Window offers fantastic ...

Majic Window offers fantastic windows. My experience with Majic was very pleasing. The sales process was normal. I had 3 different companies come, and they all tried to upsell. I've been happy with the sales reps and the windows. Install was quick and easy. After a year with my windows, no complaints here. And I don't see some of these other reviews as legit, based on my experience. They seem unrealistic.

We initially bought a bay wind...

We initially bought a bay window replacement, since I like fiberglass over vinyl.

Install and product went good.

Ordered later a few more, including slider.

Quality (hinges, handles) lower (admitted they don't make the 'good' ones anymore).

Service right after was good (quite a few things and several visits).

Replaced ALL other windows a while later.

All together ca. $25,000

Salesmen always follow up nicely, and if anything needs to done; mentioned the few smaller things, but offered to wait to combine service.

Called now that another handle broke (they are ALL junk plastic), and initial defect from installation (inside corner cut into seal, ripped) needs to be done.

Now (Install 2/2010) they demand $75 service charge for their lifetime warranty.

Conclusion: lots of effort on high pressure sales, lots of effort to 'upsell' (at least 10 calls to sell from vinyl siding to insulation to gutters). ZERO, NADA, NO service once they are 'done' with you.

Make sure to call them EVERY MONTH during their '2 year' after the sale, even if the window just needs a drop of oil.

Stay Away - Do NOT do business...

Stay Away - Do NOT do business with Majic window/insulation unless you support companies with business practices that take advantage of the elderly. Majic convinced my elderly, ailing folks who are fighting many health issues (including cancer, heart health, dementia and severe pain currently treated with pain medications and documented as such) to sign a contract for insulation in their attic. My folks previously had insulation added in their attics and walls within the last 6 to 7 years by a reputable (NOT Majic) company. Previous company did both pre and post energy audits verifying current insulation effectiveness. The pain medications, sever health issues coupled with the dementia my parents forgot about this. Majic used pressure tactics on my ailing parents and convinced them to sign a contract in December 2011 for services obviously NOT needed. These tactics include stating my folks would have difficulties selling their house unless insulation added in attic and “metal cans” added for "safety reasons" to their standard (romex) electrical lines in the attic (never heard of this before)!!! Stay away and buyer beware.
