Find anohr practice

I saw Dr. Fergus about the implant of a neuro stimulator for chronic back pan. I was told to have the needed trial. My pain DR. in Hagerstown did a successful trial, I liked Dr. Fergus a lot but learned Dr. Selznick had more experience with tis delicate surgery where screws etc. are inserted in the spine. I call them and asked to see Dr. Selznick for the surgery and was told I could not change doctors in the practice. This is insane I have the right to choose the most experienced doctor. I will not go back to them bust have the surgery in Fairfax. They are very rude, there is NO reason a fully insured patient cannot pick his/her surgeon. Stay away

Brain Surgery

The care I have received at VB&S has been exceptional. In 2007 Dr. Chadduck performed brain surgery on me to remove a brain tumor. His expertise and bedside manner is none I have ever received. In 2008, I had another craniotomy by Dr. Chadduck. I would never consider any other NS b/c of the excellent care he and his staff have given me. His NP Julie and receptionist Tiffany, are also the greatest!!!! Cathy SimonBrain Tumor Survivor

Va Brain & Spine

I cannot comment on the staff. Only on the treatment of Dr. Fergus. I went to him for a period of two years only to have him recommend pain management. I had 8 spine injections with no relief. When he suggested burning my nerve endings I decided to get another opinion. Thankfully I did, and now I am seeing a wonderful neurosurgeon from D.C. and will be having spinal fusion surgery, after much pain and suffering for the past several years. If I would have stayed with an uncaring physician, only concered about collecting money and NOT patient health (the oath he swore to honor) I would still be in pain. Please for your own health do your research for the best Doctor.

Doctors are GREAT! Receptionist was rude and unprofessional!

I must start by saying I only have very good things to say about the Dr.'s in this center. I saw two different one's and both were friendly, professional, and caring. The only problem I had is with Dr. Selzick's receptionist. She was rude, uncaring, and very unprofessional. Evidently, I am not alone in this opinion as several people I know who have dealt with her, said the same thing. All she cares about is getting your bill paid. She NEVER returns phone calls or even answers her phone. She lets it go to her voice mail and never calls you back. You don't know if your doctor got your message or not! They are the only brain and spinal center around so if you need them you will unfortunately have to deal with this rude women. Good Luck!
