WARNING! DISHONEST BUSINESS! P...

WARNING! DISHONEST BUSINESS! Purchased a truck with $2400 down. Transmission went out in less than 6 weeks. Mind you they require you to pay another $875 for license plates that they never mailed. I paid $200 partial pmt until i could see what they would do about the repairs.I already had the truck in the shop & called Carnes at least 20 times.I have my phone records. No one assisted me nor returned my calls. With weeks passing by & of course a note became due, i finally here from ELIZABETH & she says,(quote)"We will come get it & let our repairman fix it. "I ASKEDif i needed to send in pmts & her response was "Oh NO, we will work with you on the pmts lets justs ee whats wrong with it first." I then asked her was she being honest OR is she trying to take the truck back. She ASSURED me that she was trying to help me being that i've spent nearly $4000 on a vehicle i've had less than 6 weeks. She said, if repairs were too much , she would trade me out of the vehicle. I kept calling for weeks & would be placed on hold til the phone would finaly hang up or they would say Elizabeth isnt in. I FINALLY got Liz & she had enourmous fees. A $700 towing fee, (mind you i got the truck out the shop & met them with it so they didnt get lost), over $1600 repair fees, plus 2 notes of $800 before i could get it back. I could have let my OWN repairman fix it, save the $700 tow fee & $600 on the repairs. These people are crooks. The owner is someone by the name of Richard/Dwain Carnes whom is IMPOSSIBLE to contact. My daughter purchased a car here. Her due date was changed. When she called about sending her payment, Walter(sale man) kept saying she needed to talk to Liz. Liz REFUSED to talk to her & the next thing we know, they repossess the vehicle for ONE FREAKING note. Mind you, she too paid $2400 down plus $875 for licenses plates that Walter finally mailed after i called over & over again. They take advantage of the fact you're 100 miles or more away & less than 2 months, they take the vehicle back. Along with over $3000 of your money. When she wanted to get her vehicle back, can you believe her towing fee was over $850. If my fee was $700 on an avalance, why was hers $850 on a Ford Fusion. We were advised not to deal with these people until we can build a case. The towing company is supposedly East side Adjusters. Which is a lie. Its just some dude that works for them & they give whatever price they want in hopes that you cant afford to get the vehicle back. I'm not gonna let this go. If anyone would like to pursue a lawsuit or get this business shut down (if possible) please contact me @ [email protected] or (936) 368-7106 Thanks.. and please go elsewhere for a vehicle. They are dishonest. Every word i'm saying is the truth... ZERO is my star rating

Worse place ever! Long story s...

Worse place ever! Long story short, I bought a 06 Dodge Ram from these crooks and put $2,000 down. First day home the headlights quit working, and 20 days later the wheel falls off while driving 70 miles per hour! The worse part is I can't even get a simple call back or an update on what's going on with my account. My salesman Walter is very rude. When I brought the truck in 3 days after purchase like instructed, I had to sit for two hours before he finally told me that the tech couldn't fix it that day. When I got pissed, he told me that it was not his fault that I live 100 miles away. This is not over!

At the time of your appointment they had planned to be able to fix the issue yet there were other parts that needed to be ordered and were not available at the moment. For that reason we had to re-schedule for you to bring the truck back once that part arrived. We apologize if there was a miscomunication problem.

Worst Company Ever

These people are very unprofessional. The are all about the money, once they get your money then its a differerent story. The customer services aspect of the business is out the door. The vehicles are nice and well kept. But if you want to deal with a bunch of unprofessional people without any sales skills or any customer servces then thhis is the place to go. If not then i would recommend other car dealership in that area meaning not even a mile away then go to them. You never see the manager of the establishment only two female employee that really doesnt know what there doing and some other man walking around that act as if he cant talk. ..this business is aweful and useless.

Carnes Motor Company Ruined My Wife's Anniversary Present

I purchased a $15,000 2002 BMW from this Carnes Motor Company in South Houston. This car was to be an aniversarry gift for my wife. They told me the car was in exellent condition and that I only needed to get the oil changed. I purchased the vehicle in good faith and had my wife take it to get an oil changed the following week. The mechanic noticed the rotors had a deep groove in them and proceeded to inspect the vehicle. He found out that all the brakes were down to the metal and that they and the rotors needed to be replaced. He also said that the brake line sensor had been cut (not by accident) so that we wouldn't have know otherwise. I contacted the dealer who "kindly" reminded me that the vehicle we purchased was sold "as-is". When I told him the estimate would cost me $800.00 and reminded him that I hadn't even had the car one full week yet, he said he would have his mechanic work on it, at my expense, which would be cheaper than any another mechanic. I have been waiting for an estimate for weeks. Meanwhile, my brand new 2002 BMW (an anniversary present to my wife) sits in our driveway.
