Rescue, CA The first time I used Straight Line Construction it was to replace my roof. Not an easy job as I have a very pitched Tudor style roof. The crew that was sent out was so professional, clean and completed the job quickly. So when I needed some gutter realignment and repair they were the only company I even considered. Again, very professional, cleaned up the area and even patched some stucco. I would highly recommend Straight Line to anyone!

Straightline is an excellent company. They did everything as planned and on schedule, keeping us informed each day on what was happening. Each day they cleaned up before they left, leaving everything spotless at our El Dorado Hills home. They are a very ethical, Christian company. They replaced part of our siding, installed a new front door and slider, and then painted the entire outside. Excellent work. And a friendly staff as well.

SLC has done a roof and two decks for us, and we were so happy with the results and the interaction with this company that we knew that we wanted them to do the exterior painting of our Placerville house.



The price was reasonable, so we scheduled with them for 1.5 months out to ensure that we had enough time to finish some of our projects on the house. We picked the Sherwin Williams 25 year paint.



Prep was pressure wash and caulk, but no sanding or scraping of old peeling paint, which we find is the most difficult part of painting.



The second day the crew taped and blocked off windows, doors, they sprayed on a primer/glue coat, sprayed on the first coat of the base paint and rolled it to get it for good absorption. Then they did a second spray. I pointed out places where the new paint had gotten absorbed so well that it needed another coat, and Dave was willing to redo those areas and a couple others he found.



They came back the 3rd day to finish up. The painting looked good, and everyone but Bob left. He walked around with me to look for any missing areas or clean up that hadn't been done correctly. I discovered 6 areas that were already peeling or where the new paint had just been painted over peeling old paint. We also discovered scratched off paint where the ladders had been, so he fixed those, and picked up any trash that was lying around.



The time they had scheduled to fix the areas wouldn't work for me, they sent Sean at a time convenient for me. That was very much appreciated. I took him around and showed him the spots and he nicely fixed them. Afterwards we looked around again, and it looked good. After they left, we found that they had painted over the door bell by the garage, gluing the button in place, tho we managed to cut it out.



Our paint job does look nice and fresh, and while we would still recommend this company for roofing and decks, I am not sure that their painting guys have the same expectations of what prepping entails.

We had shakes and they did 50 year composite with the weathered wood color.

And they look great.

We just had them do the rain gutters and they did a great job.

The color choices were many and they matched our house with pre painted materials

Our Pollock Pines roof on our 10+ year old house was leaking and needed attention. They did a very professional job from start to finish and now we are ready for the drought to end.

Our 23 year old deck needed to be torn down and replaced. Straight Line came out and made a very reasonable bid. It was presented very professionally and with all of our concerns addressed. The crew was very professional, courteous, quiet and clean. The deck was completed in only 5 days and we could not be happier with the outcome.

Prior to listing our house for sale we had a pest inspection done and found we needed a new roof, gutters, dry rot repairs, new deck, doors & frames and the whole place needed painted. Jack, the owner of Straight Line Construction came out and I explained what all we needed and were under a time crunch. He spent about 3 hours and before he left, gave a bid along with a detailed account of what would be done, and said he could take care of all items listed in the pest report and have the project completed in 30 days. He even made a couple of suggestions of what we could personally do with landscaping to showcase the house. We were so impressed with his professionalism and detailed bid that we accepted it on the spot and cancelled the other two bidders. A project manager was assigned to us who on a daily basis let us know what to expect the following day. Jack then called every evening to check on our satisfaction and answer questions. Every crew member was just as professional as Jack, and they cleaned up the premises every day. The job was finished a week earlier that quoted and we couldn't be happier with the results. Straight Line is truly a one stop shop, who I would highly recommend if you want quality and worry free service.

How refreshing to find professionals who not only know their trade but the true meaning of first rate service. Straight Line recently replaced 4 aging skylights on our Roseville home and the personnel starting with Phil Smith who provided a very thorough evaluation and alternatives through the job foremen Roger and Richard and their crew who quickly and competently completed the job were absolutely first rate tradesmen. The job site was thoroughly cleaned and the trash was hauled away. The unsightly old deteriorating skylights were gone and our home was graced with beautiful new skylights in record time. Thanks Mr. Borba for employing such a great crew of associates.

Very professional. From beginning to end, we were extremely pleased with the work Straight Line completed on our Sacramento home. Our free estimate included photos & a very detailed description of each job; a new roof, replacing wood siding (dry rot), seamless gutters, & paint the home. Straight Line coordinated all 4 jobs which removed all the stress from us. We appreciated the job foreman’s phone call the night before to review the job & confirm start time. Workers were on time, efficient, knowledgeable and left the job site clean each night. Everything went smoothly, and all 4 jobs were completed in 3 weeks. Amazing! We highly recommend Straight Line.

From the start I could tell they were a very professional company. Phil measured, took pictures, and gave me a very good explanation of my bid. Roof tear off, dry rot repair, new front porch, insulation, seamless gutters, and new roof from Owens Corning. I was very impressed with the employees, cleanliness, and top notch work. My house looks so much better and couldn't be more pleased. Will be having them do some windows replacement next.

The process went smoothly and quickly . Brian's crew was awesome. They were prompt, professional and cleaned after themselves. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

The last time I had my Sacramento house reroofed and painted I went with the lowest bidder and was not satisfied with the result. This time I decided to find the best contractor I could – Straight Line Construction. What a difference! Yes, they are expensive. But if you can afford to pay a little more, they are well worth it. First, there is a quality of the materials – they use only the best of everything. Then there is the quality of workmanship. Every person working on my project clearly took pride in a job well done. They are well trained, experienced, professional and meticulous. Finally, and perhaps most important, is their emphasis on customer service. They clearly want their customers to be happy with the results, and they respond quickly to calls and e-mails. My project turned out to more complicated than expected, but at no time did I find management pressuring the craftsmen to hurry – they were always allowed the time they needed to do the job right and to my complete satisfaction. Whatever I wanted done I got done, with a smile. You can’t put a price tag on that!
