These guys are outstanding. I cannot give a higher recommendation. I had several tree service companies come out and give me quotes and they beat the price of all them. They got on the job the very next morning. One company told me it would be a 5-day job and Robert and his crew finished it in 1 1/2 days. They are professional, detailed, & their work ethic is excellent. I will definitely use them in the future and I highly recommend them!

Our 2 extremely tall pine trees in the back yard of our Mandeville home were struck by lightening while we were on vacation. Upon our return, we noticed the damage and started making calls to get quotes to have them removed immediately. Robert not only called back promptly, but also got all the information he needed to take care of the job and even contacted my home owners association himself to make all arrangements and take care of necessary documentation for the HOA. Robert and his crew were on time, came prepared, and were very respectful of not only my property, but also that of all my neighbors. They knew exactly what to do and took all safety precautions very seriously. They took down the two trees, removed them from my property and cleaned the entire area, leaving no trace of their work, within 4 hours. Amazing! They were also very polite, respectful and knowlegeable, not to mention well priced!!!! Living on the northshore has meant that we have dealt with tree guys for years....I will never use anyone else after this experience! I would recommend these gentlemen to anyone!!!

We located R&J Tree Service by reading the reviews on YP.com. We were very grateful that the reviews were correct! Our tree was on the property boundary with our backdoor neighbor. Rob went to talk to that neighbor to let them know what was going, which made for a smooth tree removal for all involved. Our tree was a very large, hollow, water oak filled with honey bees and termites. The circumference of the tree at eye level was approximately 9 feet. It was a potentially dangerous tree removal since there were limbs the size of full-grown trees hanging over our shed and our neighbor's shed. The bees did not make things any easier. After a full day of work, R&J's crew had the tree down and located next to the street for pick up. Rob had called Jefferson Parish and arranged for the tree to be picked up the very next day...on Saturday! All of this great service for 58% less than the other service we contacted for an estimate. I will definitely be referring R&J to anyone who asks if we know of a good tree service!!!

Robert arrived on time for our appointment. He immediately identified the very serious problem with our tree. He explained in detail, using laymen's terms when needed, the cause and extent of the damage.



Robert was the 2nd person to evaluate the tree and by then I knew the situation was urgent and dangerous. The tree would have taken out over 50% of our home, potentially killing us.



He clearly explained the process his company would use to remove this very large tree from my very small backyard. Robert patiently answered all my questions and treated me with compassion during this crisis. He recognized that while it's routine for him, it was not for me. He recognized the cost was making a stressful situation much worse.



Due to a communication failure on my part, I selected a different company.



When I called Robert with the news and reason, it was too late to correct my error as the other company had already started the job.



Despite this, Robert remained professional, kind, and compassionate. He spoke honestly about his confidence in the company doing the work. Robert's graciousness helped me to feel better about my decision and about the quality of Robert's character. Finally, Robert even provided me with additional, helpful information.



Through this process and Robert's generous advice I now know trees must receive routine check-ups to avoid potential and very serious problems.



I will be calling on Robert for the future maintenance of my trees, and will recommend R&J without hesitation to friends, family members and neighbors.

These gentlemen do a job like none I've ever seen. They work together so well.. I thought I'd be nervous about the removal but, the owner,R ob cleared all my worries with a full explaination (in labormans terms). When they came it was like they hadnt been here. Down to the last little scrap was thrown away. I would recommend them to anyone. no matter how hard the job(mine seemed hard to me). My hats off to these gentlemen and my prayers for their continued safety tho they don't seem to need them.. experience experience experience thnx guys

R&J removed three trees for me today. One of the trees was located just a few feet from my house. The guys worked like surgeons in an operating room strategically removing the branches one by one. The guys with R&J were extremely professional, did a great job and very reasonably priced. They will be my first call when I need any type of tree service in the future.

R & J provided efficient, clean, caring, and fast work to the trees on my property. I'm the proud owner of my home of 18 years, as well as the proud owner of an Oak Tree located on my front lawn, and 2 Pecan Trees in my backyard. I take pride in my trees and was very worried at first, because several years ago another company came out and butchered my trees. I wasn't aware of this until several years later as I watched my trees grow back like "Harry Potter" Trees. It's funny now, but it wasn't funny at the time, until R & J came and made my trees look like the trees I once remembered when I initially purchased my home. They took their time, and the care that was provided as they were cutting, it was like watching a cardiologist do heart surgery. It was also very educational too, I never realized how complicated it was when cutting trees. The other company didn't say much except thank you (for the check that is). R & J took their time and explained to me that if they were to cut in certain areas, that the trees would basically grow out of control which is what happened before they came along and groomed my trees. I must say job well executed. Once they were done, it appeared as if they planted a new trees. I will use them even if it's just to give my trees a touch up. I definitely recommend them , and will to everyone else I know, and don't know if asked. The pricing was very reasonable, and for once I must say that as a woman, I didn't feel and wasn't taken advantage of. R & J keep doing what you're doing, and continued blessings. Happy customer.

I called Rob out for an estimate and he was at my house within a few hours. He not only gave me a price but he educated me on all my trees. I thank him for that because I didn't know anything before! He gave me what seemed to be a great price so I hired him right then and there. I didn't even check around because he was so professional, legit, and I simply liked and trusted him. My curiosity did get to me and I asked around about his price..everyone I asked said I would never beat it. When he came out to do the job he was on time and fully prepared. He did an amazing job! I am 100% satisfied and will never call anyone but him for any future jobs. I have already recommended him to a family member and they are fully satisfied as well!

I called this afternoon requesting an estimate and hired them on the spot. The price was fantastic and was the lowest of the 4 bids I collected. The job that was performed was definitely worth more than what I paid. Not only was the tree trimmed, I was educated on how to properly care for and maintain the trees in my yard. They came with their own tools ready for whatever may have come their way. Professional in the quality of the job and professional in attitude. It wasn't about coming to my house doing the job and leaving. They took pride in their work from start to finish and made sure my yard was left neat and safe for our family to play. I will call them agian when needed and will recommend them to anyone who may need their services. It was a pleasure to work with them this afternoon.

R&J had recently done work in my neighborhood and I observed how they operated. I was impressed with the way they conducted themselves in a professional manner and their knowledge to get the job done quickly and correctly. This was crucial considering I had tree work done by another local company a few years earlier that left me extremely disappointed. I received a competitive quote from R&J to remove a 70ft tree from my backyard that only has a 4ft alleyway in/out. So I hired R&J to remove the tree and grind the stump. They even finished off grinding work from the other tree company at no additional charge! They have restored my faith that not all contractors are dishonest contractors.

Rob and his partner did a really good job on cutting my tree down ! I'm a new home owner so the pricing really helped me out a lot.
