All employees were professional and polite while answering questions and giving me great suggestions for what might be good for me. Loved the relaxed atmosphere too!

This place has a very nice and it has a peaceful vibe to it. I love coming here and being able to relax while my hair is treated. Very friendly staff and good prices.

I loved how well trained the staff is and how little time they made me wait. They did my hair exactly the way I asked it to be and didn't cut too much off. Very good work and I will recommend to every one.

I live in the Beaumont neighborhood, so this salon is very convenient for me to walk to. It also employs some of the best colorists and stylists in town. Edan has been doing my hair for a very long time and he always does a great job. He was the first colorist to color my hair and I've been having him color it ever since. Both Edan and Patty, the receptionist and aestheticism, are a hoot - super nice, but fun enough to joke around. If you want the best you should come here, it's worth every penny.

Tiny little place full of great people and good atmosphere. I rarely get my hair done because I can't stand the smells of salons. However, this salon didn't smell like one at all. Thanks to low ammonia hair color and great ventilation. I was impressed. When I walked in I was greeted, offered something to drink and to have my coat hung up. Nicole was my hairdresser and while we chatted she asked me what I wanted done with my hair, how I generally wear it, and a few other fact finding questions. When she was about finished she had me check over her work to make sure I was happy with it, then she did some finishing touches, asked how I wanted it styled, and proceeded to make my hair perfect! When I asked her a few questions she was able to answer knowledgeably and professionally. I had a great time, came away with a great hair cut--exactly like I pictured it in my head, and I'll definitely be going back.

I was in desparate need of help for my hair. I had bounced from salon to salon too many times and my hair was dried out and looked awful! I found Defining Image and I'm happy to say the gave me an amazing new color. My timing turned out to be perfect as they recently became Portland's first Organic Color Systems salon! My color is shiny and alive and the process didn't have the stinky smell of amonia like I've had everywhere else. (I know, that sounds kind of technical, but they are proud of their color line and they like to eductate the client, too!) Best of all, my color has not faded like it has always done in the past and I'm getting more compliments than ever. ######I'm happy to say that I have found my new home at Defining Image. No more bouncing from salon to salon for me.
