I am not a student there, so I will be fair and give it a four stars. If I was a student there, maybe a five?

I went there for a women's open mat. The location is very ez to get to. Parking is ez and facility is large and very nice. I was able to training and roll with Coach Cynthia. She was awesome to train with.

I currently train at another school. I figured this was closer to me, so why the heck not check the gym out to see if it would be a better fit for me due to the traffic and construction I have to deal with.

I called and spoke with a lady Eric called back in a couple hours. I can say, most gyms I called when I moved out here did not return my calls or would call 3 days later if I was lucky. They even sent me a text one hour prior to confirm my appointment.

I went in the next day to meet with Coach Bill. He took a lot of time to answer of all my annoying questions. Unfortunately I cannot commit to the year contract because of my work is most likely moving me. Unsure where. I did not want to waste their time or mine.

I have trained and rolled with a couple of the girls from Nak Muay there and at my current gym. it seems the instructors are top notch and for a martial arts gym, they are very professional.

Generally I only write a review when I have a bad experience but that's not the case here. Talk about a phenomenal workout. I have always been athletic and I played collegiate lacrosse for The Ohio State University. I have never had much luck with conventional gyms, they just don't hold my interest. I have been taking kickboxing classes 2-3x a week and Muay Thai 2 x per week. I love it here and I look forward to my workouts as it's my personal time for myself. My time is very valuable to me being a mother of 2 and working full time. The staff and coaches are top notch. They pride themselves on proper techniques and education of the sport. There is no pressure from the staff or students because everyone works at their own pace. I would highly recommend the facility to any of my close and personal friends. Who doesn't want to be a ninja?

Excellent muay thai gym

After trying two other gyms in the area I landed at Nak Muay. I was absolutely impressed from the start. Kru Eric has started and grown a great gym for learning muay thai. It started small after the move to King of Prussia but has grown quickly. There is something for everyone whether they want a great workout, to learn technique in muay thai or brazilian jiu jitsu or to start down the road to fighting. I highly recommend coming in to check it out.

I was lucky to be able to train with Eric in a group class, as well as one on one. When I learn anything from someone, part of me is always looking for that rarely found ideal... a great teacher. Such an achievement is multifaceted. It requires that the individual in question has a true dedication to the art form at hand, a highly refined level of skill or excellence, an ability to accurately gauge where a student is at and be able to grow and learn with that student. This last point takes a natural and deep sense of humility, patience, insight, and a certain clarity of mind. When training with Eric, I found he lived in these qualities. I definitely respect that.

Nak Muay gym has hands down the best Muay Thai training around. I started with no experience in martial arts and was pleasantly surprised to find how friendly everyone was. I appreciate how fundamental all the training is and how proper form is taught from the beginning. I took a year of fundamental classes which were great and then decided to join the sparring classes. During the two years of sparring classes my Muay Thai skills greatly increased with the instructors and more advanced students guiding me along the way. I would feel very comfortable applying my stand up skills I learned at Nak Muay in the ring or the cage. I highly recommend this gym!

I'm 51 years old and have been training in martial arts since I was 13, and Nak Mauy for 2 years now. Nak Muay is by far the best gym I have trained at. The instructors are excellent, the workouts are intense and its a great facility. The combination of BJJ, Mauy Thai and kickboxing put me in the best shape in decades. Sparring with guys half my age is a challenge but everyone is very friendly and will adjust the intensity level to accomodate. Give it a shot!

After seeing my fitness results and all the raving l was doing about the place my wife decided to join, then with the addition of kids classes our whole family now attend. Best gym ever! I've been trai...

Best gym ever! I've been training at Nak Muay for about a year and half now, usually five days a week, and I've done every program they offer.

Their Muay Thai is phenomenal and stresses proper technique above all. You'll start class with a warm-up and then move right into technique - coaches will demo and explain the concepts, and then you'll practice with people at your ability level. You'll tighten up your technique with your partner, and you'll do some pad and bag work. You'll also get a pretty awesome cardio workout. If you're dedicated and interested, you can also work toward sparring.

Their kickboxing will make you sweat like you didn't know possible. You'll be in the bag room on your own heavy bag, the coaches will demo a basic Muay Thai technique, and then you'll pound the bag like an animal. The emphasis here is more on cardio, but the coaches will also help you refine your technique; in between rounds on the bag, you'll do short bursts of plyometrics. Amazing workout.

Nak Muay Gym is home to Tim Carpenter BJJ - he teaches all of the classes every night, and just like Muay Thai, you'll start with warm-up drills and then move into technique. The coach will demonstrate a technique and explain the concepts, and then you'll practice with a partner. As you gain more experience, you'll get to try more live sparring with partners, and that's probably the most fun thing you'll ever do on earth.

So for me, the best part about Nak Muay is the coaches. They'll all amateur or professional fighters themselves, so every one of them knows what it's like to compete using the techniques they teach. They're also just a bunch of nice dudes, so you'll feel comfortable right away. What's also cool is that you can be in charge of your own experience. If you want to get in shape in a fun way, you can totally do that and no one is going to pressure you to do more. If you want to compete in Muay Thai or BJJ or MMA, you'll also have an amazing opportunity to train with legit fighters. So every night, you'll see a mix of all sorts of different people, guys and girls, older and younger, already in shape or working to get in shape. Very cool place to be - it's the best part of my day, every day.

I started attending Nak Muay Gym almost two years wanting to get back into shape and learn Muay Thai. Having never participated in martial arts before, I didn't quite know what to expect. Well...all of my expectations were exceeded from day one. I can honestly say that training there changed my life. I got into the best shape of my life and met some amazing people along the way. While I have recently moved away from the Philadelphia area, I brought with me the good habits learned at he best martial arts gym around. I would recommend Nak Muay Gym to anyone...it was worth every penny.

A few years ago, I was looking for a place to work on my striking skills. I was already a student at another martial arts school, and I found Kru (teacher) Eric by word of mouth (I knew some other guys who were training with him). Since I made the decision to train at Nak Muay Gym, I've made friends, gotten in way better shape than I ever thought possible, and was even fortunate enough to find a career path! I would recommend Nak Muay to anyone from the beginner to the seasoned Martial Artist, and everything in between. If you're actually serious about learning Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, or MMA, then we're the school for you!

Stellar Gym

Kickboxing has always been on my list of things to try and when I found Nak Muay Gym I could not resist, I had to give it a shot. A year and a half later I still religously attend classes. Going to this class has not only put me in the best shape of my life, it also is a great complimentary workout to riding horses. I highly recommend Nak Muay Gym's kickboxing classes to anyone looking for a great workout with some pretty awesome people.

The best authentic Muay Thai school

Nak muay gym has the best Muay Thai around. I have been there for almost 5 years now and it has been so good. I never studied any other martial art, but when I started there I fell in love with it. The instructors are great, they really know how to explain the techniques that are used. It has also helped with my discipline. It has helped me get into better shape. I would recommend anyone that has an interest in studying a martial art to enroll into this school. You won't find a better school anywhere.

I've practiced Tae Kwon Do (2 ...

I've practiced Tae Kwon Do (2 different schools) and even Wing Chun (albeit briefly) and Nak Muay is the only experience that met my needs for several reasons. For starters, all the instructors are active professional and amateur fighters and compete at a very high level. They are teaching you things that they actually use in the ring. Way better than more "traditional" styles that have too much focus on forms and things you never use. While some of the instruction may seem repetitious to students that are not in tune to the art of fighting, the very important incremental improvements that happen because of this repetition are profound. Every time I go, some thing improves (leg kicks, footwork, jabs) and it makes me realize that no matter how many times I practice a technique, there is always more to learn, ways to do it better. The instructors see this in you and always work with you in a clear constructive way.

Also, the workout is AMAZING. I do Muay Thai and Kickboxing, which is a combo that works great for me. I started Jiu Jitsu, but I just couldn't continue for various reasons. Most students show up and give 110%, and the instructors expect that from everyone which I love - my blood pressure is down to 112/65!!! If you are looking to coast or just want to dabble in martial arts go get a book or watch some videos. If you want to learn to master great technique, generate power, and have enough gas in the tank to actually use it if you need to Nak Muay is the place

I can't get enough of this gym...

I can't get enough of this gym! I try to squeeze in classes whenever I have a free hour and the hours are convenient enough to do it. This is the kick a$$ class I've been searching for!! I had a little background in martial arts, but I really didn't need it because the instructors are all super helpful and really know what they're talking about. After all, they fight throughout the area. You may have even caught them in a fight on TV! It may seem a little intimidating at first, but give it a chance and you'll definitely see the results you want. I know I did.

Be The Hero Of Your Own Story

As a 245 lb, 32 year old engineer with no physical activity under my belt since the age of 14, I was destined to the same fate of many Americans: an early death due to poor health, my biggest fear being I would never meet my grandchildren. I knew I had to do something, but I couldn’t just go exercise because frankly I have done that in the past, got extremely bored with it and stopped ~4 weeks in. Martial arts was in the back of my mind (as belonging to a group really does help people stay on track), but I worried about taking that step.

My idea of a martial arts academy was a bunch of roided up egomaniacs continuously blasting guys like me in the face. What made me consider Nak Muay – and ultimately led me to dropping my preconceived prejudice and joining the academy - was the bio of coach Tim Carpenter: he was an introverted, overweight teen that found Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, lost the weight, gained his black belt while collecting dozens of high honor awards / recognitions (including being one of the very few Americans to defeat a Gracie, which is the Brazilian family line that developed Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), and now is a professional MMA combatant. My hunch was Mr. Carpenter had a mastery over his craft while simultaneously devoid of the attitude I feared existed in the sport; I felt he would understand where I was at, I felt that he would tailor my training to my current ability level , safely - but continuously - increasing that ability level to new heights. And I was right. All of the coaches at Nak Muay not only have expertise, they care for their students and their path in health / martial arts. You will be pushed, but if you stumble along the way you will not be chastised. The goal of every instructor is that you make progress to meet your personal goal, both physically and emotionally; they understand that pushing you to the point of injury can ultimately inhibit you on your path, and they realize that if you are emotionally battered along the way you will probably abandon the path entirely.

Another nice thing about the academy is its class schedule – they have several Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and kickboxing classes a week – substantially more than most other academies out there, and its continuously growing. The one particular point I like about this academy is what I like to call the “businessman’s class” – two Muay Thai and one Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class over lunch every week, which allows me to train over my break at work.

I have been going to this martial arts academy since March of 2012. I have since lost about 25 pounds total (probably more, but I have undoubtedly gained some muscle so I have probably lost more than that), I have recently crossed the obese / overweight threshold going southward, and I am having a much easier time breathing; most importantly, I have a network of highly supportive coaches / fellow students behind me. My destiny – my path – has been fundamentally altered by Nak Muay for the better. Be the hero of your own story; you can take control of your destiny. When you arrive at this undeniable conclusion, I implore you to check out Nak Muay Gym, as it will certainly assist you on this path.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Nak Muay. the instructors are dedicated to helping all of the students, from someone just looking for a fun workout all the way up to the professional fighters who train here. There is also as much space at Nak Muay as any gym I have ever belonged to (plenty of heavy bags, mat space, full size boxing ring, and cage.) They offer plenty of classes each day throughout the week in order to accommodate any schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nak Muay to anyone looking for a gym in the King of Prussia/Southeast PA area.
