I had several quotes and phone conversation from different contractors and none of them can committed on a start date and provided "hand waving" answers. And this is for a small residential house for a roof replacement. I called up Buck's roofing and Jim is able to quote, answer all questions in detail, follow up calls on the exact date he promised. He took his time to explain and educate me to ensure I understand the work that he is going to perform. When the job started, he started on the date that he promised. He took care of all the permit administrative work. He constantly communicate with me on what is going on and the progress. The job was completed within the schedule promised. The end result is a beautiful roof, new flashing, new vents added, dryrot replaced, and new gutter system put it. I would recommend Jim for his professionalism and quality of work.

I had a persistent roof leak and paid a roofer to repair it. The leak continued especially after big rains. I was frustrated after several years of leaks. I call Buck's and Jim did an evaluation. He noticed a problem that other roofers did not.



He make the repairs and I waited for the next rain. We had a huge storm (biggest in 45 years in Oct 09) and NO LEAKS. Jim knows his business, is a solid communicator and does what he promises.



His rates are reasonable and he made sure that I was 100% satisfied. He even called after the storm to see if the leak was repaired. YES, thanks Jim,

Jim and his crew did an excellent job replacing my old shake roof at a very reasoable price.

Jim Larsh did an excellent job on my roof. Good price. Quality, timely work. The only glitch was the installation of a sun tunnel. We have an old plaster ceiling. Some fairly large chunks fell off while he was cutting the hole in the ceiling. He had forewarned me that this might happen. I spent the better part of an evening repairing the damage so he could finish the job the next day. He did reduce the price a little for my trouble.

Bottom line: Fantastic roofer, easy to talk to, average finish carpenter, reasonable cost.

Jim Larsh did a great job of making it look new.

We had a meldew problem because of a long ago installer not providing vents properly.

Jim rebuilt the area, installed innovative vents and recapped the ridges.

It looks like a new roof, at 40% of the cost of one.

I had Bucks Roofing tear off and reroof my 100 yr old house in downtown san jose. Jim and his crew were clean, easy to work with, fast, on time and on budget. They found quite a bit of rot to my old boards but did not gouge me with a chang order like most other contractors would.
