Bad experience. I hired them for a furnace inspection required by the city of Mpls. The tech cut a hole and used a camera to find a crack in the heat exchanger. He took a long time on this and then shows me a tiny straight line and calls it a crack. Then he went into high gear to sell me a new furnace. It all seemed fishy to me so I got a good referral from a friend and had another master heating guy come out. This tech passed the furnace with flying colors. Beware of contractors like Standard that will try to sell you a furnace when you don't need one.

The service agent not only performed the scheduled furnace inspection but he identified issues that would have resulted in an expensive furnace replacement. The issues identified were repaired or modified at no additional cost. It's not often that I feel genuinely cared for when service repairs are provided. This was the exception.

Buyer beware. They tried to tell me that my fan motor was obsolete and therefore no alternative (implicitly meaning I need a new unit for thousands of dollars). I told them I found a fan motor replacement myself that matched the specs. They had no logical reply and I said I was disappointed. End of relationship with this business. I installed the motor my self and saved thousands (still working today), but some little old lady will be taken for a ride by this low integrity business. My opinion; take it for what it is worth.

We went to turn on our air conditioning this spring and it didn't work. Early on a Friday morning, I called several places that claimed to have "same day service" and none of them could get someone out that day. We were having people over on Saturday, plus the weather was supposed to get hot and sticky over the weekend so I needed someone that day.The first time I called Standard I was told that they were booked that day and couldn't get someone out until early the next week. I continued calling other places and within a few minutes they called me back and indicated that they could squeeze me in later that day.The tech that came out was Nathan. He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. He got our A/C fixed with minimal issue and it was running great for the weekend.The only negative I had was that they gave me a 4 hour window of when the tech could come out. I had a lot to get done that afternoon due to the party so it wasn't ideal that I had to stay put nearly all

I called Standard Heating & Air Conditioning when my furnace quit on me earlier this week, and they had a tech named Nathan out within 3 hours, fixed my furnace, and even wore these protective boot covers. Service was fast, Nathan was very friendly, and he didnt leave a mess (cant say the same about other repair people over the years). I would recommend to all friends and family. Good/fair price too.

I was in a bind needed my AC fixed and looked up companies that would do same day service. Called these guys up and told them I saw their add on this website and asked if I could get some one out today. She laughed and said nope not even for warranty work. She did not even give me a day of when they would be able to come out.
