Cottonwood Riding Club

My second home. My wonderful horse has lived here for over 11 years. The facility is right on the Highline Canal with easy access into Chatfield State Park. There are miles and miles of trails, beautiful scenery all year long. Of course, there are ground rules (for all of our health and safety) but I have found that any time I had a question or needed help, support was willingly offered. The boarders are friendly and it is always easy to find someone to travel the trails with. You have access to your horse 24/7. Lessons are available--whether it is your first time on a horse or you and your horse show regularly, there will be something for you. In addition, wonderful clinicians come to the barn to help you expand your horse knowledge.

happy horses

i board my horses at cottonwood's sister barn a couple miles south, but i have been to cottonwood dozens of times for shows, clinics, and trail rides. all the horses are well taken care of and they have an amazing staff of guys who watch over the horses. the stalls are clean, the horses have plenty of food and clean water, and the facilities are very nice. it can get pretty busy at cottonwood, especially on the weekends, but everyone i have encountered and ridden with is friendly and considerate.

Love it

I've ridden and boarded at Cottonwood for nearly ten years now, and I've honestly never experienced a barn that I liked nearly as well. The owners and staff are all extremely friendly and knowledgable, and the large number of boarders assures me that somebody will notice quickly if my horse is having a problem with something. It's truly the most community oriented and all-encompassing equestrian experience I've encountered. Cottonwood has been a second home and family to me, and my horses have always been more than fat and happy with them.

Great place!

The location is great if you love to trail ride. There is access to miles of it. They take such good care of the horses. Ours are in the pasture and never go hungry. They check on them regularly and give extra when its cold. There is always something going on whether you are into jumping, dressage, polo or hitting the trail!

Cottonwood Riding Club

Cottonwood Riding Club has a fantastic location with access to Charfield Park. My horse loves it here, I moved him away once and he was distraught for months. I moved him back to Cottonwood and he is happy again. The owners and staff are always helpful. Love it here, I plan to keep my horse here forever.

Condition and customer service

NOT GOOD!!!!!! My horse got mud fever from standing water in her paddock, $162.00 VET BILL. I arranged to keep my horse at Cottonwood for two months, until they brought the polo ponies back for the season. The horse was for sale, and I was to take lessons with Tara in order to jump. I spent $50.00 each on two lessons, and was aloud over a cross rail a total of four times. Tara was late for the lesson, and commented on how my horse was built wrong and could never be a hunter. The place is packed with horses, and could never find a place to lunge. Also because of the variety of disciplines there is not communication between rider while in the ring, would call rail or inside but nobody seemed to care.
