i was so impressed with this tattoo shop went to 4 different shops that day 2 wouldn't even help us when we walked in and the other was very expensive... When we went into to revelation i knew i would be a returning customer!!!!! ryan is an awesome artist!!!!!!!!!

I have gotten tattoos from four different places and I would have to say that Revelations is my favorite. They are so helpful and patience and really help you with you decisions. Not to mention I have gotten my belly button pierced there and have had no problems with it and when I lost my jewerly from my belly button and my nose ring they really helped me find what I was looking for and even kept it below my price range! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing.

My friend and I were going around the Northland looking for a place to get a piercing done and we stopped at a different place on North Oak and they were rude and condescending. Then we went to Revelations and they were so nice and answered all our questions and were really patient with us while we tried to decide what to get. Everyone that was in the shop was really outgoing and knew what they were doing. I would really recommend at least stopping by to check it out and of course for your next tattoo or piercing.

We went to several Tattoo and Piercing shops in the Northland, everyone we talked to was rude and couldn't answer our questions about Piercing prices. Then we stopped on at Revelations(it was close to midnight on a Friday night). The shop was very clean!!! There were 2 artists still there. Shawn immediately asked us how he could help us. He answered every question we had!!! And eased my fears about having a piercing done. We left telling him we would get back with him in a week or so. After talking about it on our way home we decided to have Shawn do both of my piercings the next day!!! All of the artists were very friendly and wanted to help us but Shawn was so helpful the night before we decided he will be out tattoo and piercing guy! He explained everything in detail and made sure I was comfortable. The 2 piercings were quickand the pain wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.. I LOVE them both!!! I'll be calling Shawn soon to work on my next tat!!!

Revelation Tattoo Shop is i believe the best tattoo shop here in kansas city. The ambiance of the shop got its own class & very clean. The people behind it are very experience in their own field. I have seen all the artist portfolio and some people that they had tattooed & each of them were done with perfection. Give it a try folks if your looking for one.

Ok, me and my mom went to Revelations today to get my nose pierced. I was pretty nervous! When we walked in we where greeted we kindness. When we got back to the room, i sat down and waited. It was done very quickly and cleanly. He was very nice and got me though it.



The place was clean! I felt very comfortable getting my piercing done here!

Well, let me start by saying I've had atleast 7 different artists work on me before walking into Revelations. I won't be slinging any mud at the other places I've been but I will say every tattoo artist I've dealt with before is extremely arrogant and rude.



I'm a stylist. I spend my days catering to people and treating them well. People who spend a good deal of money to come and see me. Most people call that customer service something I've never experienced in a tattoo shop, until now. Call me crazy but if I"m spending a lot of money to have someone alter my appearance I expect to atleast be treated well.



The floor walker, Rick, is amazing. He actually sat down on the couch across from me the first time I walked in and talked to me. He wasn't rude, arrogant, or judgemental (something that has happened everywhere else). Brent did my first work there and he was amazing. Recently, I've been having work done by John Monk the owner. He did my friends half sleeve and I've been tring to have mine finished but am never happy with the way I've been treated. So, I ended up with him and it was the best choice I've ever made.



I am happy now.

I can honestley say I won't be going anywhere else.

Where to start? Me and my wife just got a tattoo from the 2 best tattoo Artists in K.C. RHETT AND SHAWN!!! We originally went to another tattoo shop "savages" and after getting a tattoo from savages, they kept scheduling a time and canceling the time for a tattoo, what is up with that? Anyways while we were at "Savages tattoo, someone mentioned "Revelations Tattoo". We went down to N.OAK and they were outside. We received the most insane amount of customer service you could ever imagine. I was tattooed by RHETT and I'm telling you now that I have had several tattoos done in my life but by far RHETT and SHAWN were the best I have ever seen. The shop is the nicest shop I have ever seen as well. The tattoo shop itself welcomes you and makes you feel comfortable. SHAWN did my wives tattoo and it looks "PERFECT". I have had good tattoos in the past, but they do PERFECT tattoos. I also want to mention RICK who was the most customer friendly person I have ever met. He was asking us if we wanted something to drink and pulling up chairs for my wife. At the same time he was totally making us feel rite at home in this shop. It is the nicest, cleanest, most customer service oriented shop I have ever been to in my life. I highly recommend "REVELATIONS TATTOO"!!!! THANKS AND THANKS FOR FIXING MY "SAVAGES TATTOO THAT WAS MESSED UP!!! If you are considering a tattoo, drive over there, they are really the best in business.. this doesn't just come from me, but from other tattoo shops in the area as well. THANKS AGAIN TO RHETT, SHAWN, AND RICK, YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!

I went to Revelations for my first tattoo and i will for sure be going back to get more. I got Blood is thicker than water in Latin on my forearm. John Monk did it for me and he is my tattoo guy from now on, it looks great and is very legible. All the artists are talented they have portfolios on a table in front and i was impressed. The shop is clean and the artists are cool guys.

I have been going to John Monk for tattoos since 2003. He has tattooed me on 6 different occasions. His new tattoo shop Revelations is a clean, comfortable, and reliable shop.



If you are wanting a truly unique piece of art John Monk is the artist for you. I can give him an idea of what I'm wanting and he always puts his own unique, original, and artistic flair to the piece. I have never been displeased with any of his work, he always exceeds my expectations. I have referred multiple friends and family and he has given them the same high quality service and art as me.



I travel all across the nation for my job and I have never ever considered letting anyone but John tattoo me. I am a loyal customer to John Monk's Revelation Tattoo. He is not your average tattoo artist, but a truly one of kind talented and gifted artist. I am proud to display his work on my body. I am eager to return in the near future for another piece of work.

This was my very 1st tattoo, and I was scared to death! I had all ready been to Freaks and the name says it all, then I went to A-1,and they had to get the artist out of the bar next door! So I left, on the way home I found Revelations Tattoo, so I got enough courage to go in and was greeted by a very wonderful man named Rick, He made me feel right at home, told me so much helpful information, I was no longer scared and he made me feel at ease. tO BAD THOSE OUTHER SHOPS DIDNT HAVE A RICK! I got a great 1st tattoo from Rhett. If you want a great tattoo and feel scared go see Rick and the process is easy! They have the best tattoo shop in KC,

This is our 4th tattoo done by this group of guys! I waited until my 55th birthday for my first tattoo, "good girls" in the 60s didn't have tattoos. I was finally old enough not to care what anyone thought! Steve's first tattoo was when he turned 60--same silly 60s small town upbringing! We've since added one more each. John and Rhett are the artists. I'm planning my next one--as soon as I can make the 2 hour trip to have Rhett do it.



Their new shop is amazing! Beautiful--clean--non smoking--well planned spaces--fascinating decor--friendly--proffessional treatment--not your run of the mill tattoo shop. We highly recommend stopping by to meet the staff and check out their new shop!

i checked out all the tattoo shops websites in kc to look at there portfolio i was empressed by not only the tattoos that were done by all the guys but they also paint. so i went in dropped a deposit and a week later Rhett was doing my sleeve i have three settings so far and a few more to go . these guys really know what there doing without the attitude. I was looking to get my first tattoo on my ribs and had heard a lot of great things about Revelation Tattoo. When I first went in I was very impressed with how clean the shop was. Not to mention all the beautiful hand painted tattoo designs. Everyone there was very professional and a great artist. My tattoo turned out very, very, very nice!!! I would never go any where else.

this tattoo shop is by far the hottest spot in k.c. all the artists there are very good and john monk has been tattooing in k.c. for 19 years now. i am very happy with all the work i have gotten there. all the tattoo guys that work there are artists too, i thought it was really cool to see all of the paintings done at this shop. i would never go anywhere else.

recently i went to go looking for a new shop for my wife and i after cowboys lucky seven artist ian messed up my wifes tattoo. she was wanted to see if some one could fix it and i remembered that my bro shaun had a place and told me to bring her out when i did he told her that he could do nothing to the fairy because ian had messed it up to much so he cover it up and she is very happy with what he did for her shaun was her life saver and when my grandfather pasted away i needed so one to do a rememberance tattoo for me and shaun was there and with the most respect and attention he helped me with the most memoriable tattoo i will ever have on my body the guy there are great and they make you feel at home i would recommend this shop to anyone that i talk to you guys are just awesome thanks
