I recently moved in to this apartment and I love it! The location is great (right by the Galleria and easy access to 610 and 59). Even though these apartments are a bit older, it's still livable.

Management is great. They know me by name. Everytime I walk into the office, they always greet me by name. Jodi, Wayne, Gloria...all friendly people.

Maintenance is super! I call in for the littlest thing, and it gets done that day, or the next day the latest.

LOTS of washers and dryers...usually 4 in one laundry room...and one laundry room per apartment section. I never had a problem finding an open washer or dryer.

I haven't had any problem with crime. The neighborhood isn't too bad.

I would recommend this place to anyone!

I have lived at Chateux for 5 years! That is a long time, well I moved out to another location 6 months out of that and luckily was able to rent again at Chateaux. The apartments are rented out fast (if there is one available), this in part is because of the location and price. I must say what sold me was the street lined all the way down with Oak trees that gives beautiful shade for those sunny Houston days. We once walked to the Galleria and it was a ten minute walk. Which with all the changes that are going on in the area, it was a nice, scenic walk.

I have lived at Châteaux Dijon for seven years. I still live here because I love it here and because I won't find the same quality of uniqueness in another part of town as I do right here at Chateaux Dijon. Management is awesome! My problems have always been resolved, maintenance is always here within 24 hours, and I still feel a family like atmosphere here at Château. I'm looking forward to the new changes management has started applying to the property and I'm excited about its future !

Honestly, I checked these reviews before moving into chateaux. They really got me worried over nothing.

I've lived here for over a year now, and I plan to stay. The rent is great. The apartments are unique. Personally, I've never had problems with roaches or crime. Maybe it was luck, but our apartment is vermon-free. It may depend greatly on how clean the people who lived in your apartment before you. There is a security guard that patrols. The people at the office are really nice. Elizabeth was the person who signed us up, and she has really taken care of us. I love the community here. My neighbors are great. I hope I can stay here for a long time.

I can't say enough about the owner and his staff. All are responsive to and proactive about maintenance issues. The Oaks has seen a great deal of improvement since John purchased it in 2001. It's nice to have the owner on site. He communicates with his tenants and really goes out of his way to make the complex home. If you are looking for a respectable, affordable, well-cared for place to live in the Galleria area, The Oaks is for you! Be aware that tenants are expected to reciprocate the respect and pride in the complex.

I have lived at Chateaux since 2007. I love it here! Why? Because your not just another tenant or an apartment number. They know you by your first name. They care about their residents as if they were family. As a tenant/ office team we've helped other tenants having difficulty in one way or another whether it be a ride to the grocery store or Lakewood to checking on a neighbor, friend, fellow dog walker you haven't seen in a few days. The familiarity is what attracts me and keeps me here as a tenant. My prices go up like everyone else's and I vow to do whatever it takes to be able to continue in my beautiful cozy apartment. I have lived in four units and it's my experience no two units are exactly alike! Unique! I have never been robbed and my vehicle has never been broken into but it doesn't surprise me that it has happened. It's happens everywhere folks. There are some lazy pet owners that do not pick up after their dogs BUT there are dog bag stands all over the property. I have no problem picking up another dogs doo doo as well as my own dogs doo doo but hey that's me! Laundry rooms are everywhere. Maintenance comes in a timely manner. Often you'll find me in the clubhouse eating popcorn provided by Chateaux, surfing the internet on one of 6 computers. Gloria, Wayne, Eric, David and the blonde lady are wonderful. I love them and call them my friends

In all the years I have lived here, I have never had my car or apartment broken into. I realize I am responsible for my own safety. I do feel safe living here. But I also realize that I live in the 4th largest city in the U.S. and crime is everywhere. You just do what you can to not become a victim. I urge everyone that reads this to go to the Houston Police Departments website and pull up crime stats.for different zip codes and include 77056. You will discover that every part of Houston has crime. I have friends that live in the Woodlands, The Heights, Sugarland, Katy, Meyerland, and here, and they tell me the same thing, CRIME IS EVERYWHERE! Again, you do what you can to protect yourself because no one can promise you that they are there to protect you. When people here have had their cars broken into in the past, it has been reported that they had left expensive items in their vehicles. I really think it is unfair for people to make my home sound like the ghetto when it is not. Chateaux Dijon is a wonderful place to live. Its sad that some people have personal issues that make the whole world look sour in their eyes. Thanks for your time!

I moved to Chateau Dijon October 2013. I love it!!

Management couldn't be better, they have their act together. Maintenance team IS ON TOP OF EVRYTHING NEEDS TO BE DONE OR FIXED!!! So far I intent to be here for a long time. Chateau Dijon is a quiet community with friendly residents. You can't find any other better community within walking distance to the Houston Galleria.

Can't find a better place for the $ price in the Galleria!

I have lived at the Chateaux in multiple apartments & in different buildings for over 20 years!!! I also have never had any kind of crime happen to me here. I feel comfortable coming and going anytime day or night..Another reason I love it here!

For the age of these apartments= things wear out = the maintenance guys work hard with getting things fixed in a timely manor...I have never had maintenance not try to get an issue fixed for me as soon as possible!

As for the office ..let me ask you this..who has a manager that has been on any Large property for 22 years and assistant manager for 12 (ish?)yrs -through multiple owners & management companies? = hello none I know of...say's to the stability in the office = which is so not normal in today's apartment world.

I might someday move away from Chateaux Dijon... although currently with the new owners and All of the improvements why would I? (Not happening anytime soon!)

Check it out - only you can know if these Apartments are the place for you- they still are for me!!!

I have lived at Chateaux Dijon for six months, and so far I have the most positive experience. This is my first time living on my own, and so far, so good. When visited the complex to look at an apartment, the staff was very courteous, friendly, and most helpful. I was able to tour a couple of units, including the one that I would be renting. I like that instead of being forced to see a model. The unit was turned around quickly after the tenant moved out. New carpet and tile was installed, along with all new paint and appliances. That was nice. When ever I report am issue, it is addressed within a reasonable time frame. Working in facilities myself, I know Hyde challenges of satisfying customers/tenants. I have to say again, I'm pleased with the response time. Another added touch is the leasing office staff knows most of the tenants by name, and remembers unit numbers. I would recommend Chateaux to anyone that is in the market to rent an apartment in the Galleria that wants a nice apartment with lower rent, nice amenities, and a friendly staff.

Chateaux Dijon is above the average overall speaking. This is because any apartment complex will have some issues arising on a daily basis. At this particular complex, I like the fact that staffs at the leasing office are really helpful and considerate. Sure, there are times when things get urgent and crazy, but as long as you can get hold of any staff at the leasing office, they are very willing to help out. I have been living here since Aug 2012, I will extend my lease for sure.

This is one of the best places to live in the Houston Galleria Area. The staff is the best team of people i have met working for an apartment complex. They go out of their way to make you feel apart of their community, I know all staff members on a 1st name basis which is a first for me in my sven years of renting experiences. As well as being the most diligent staff at handleing problems and bending in areas to help accommodate my busy work life. the grounds are clean and tidy, with luscious oak trees that remind me of Austin. The prices are the fairest for the area with no two units the same with gracious floor plans. Three blocks from the galleria, one block to highway 610 and 59 for commuters. A must see for people looking in this great area, i could not recommend it more!!!!

Moved into the 5310 building first and had a great apartment, friendly neighbors and no problems whatsoever with the parking. A year later we moved into the 5331 building and had the same thing. Wish the owners had properties up in Dallas because we can´t seem to find as nice an apartment up here as we did in Houston. Gloria, Wayne and the rest of staff (as well as maintenance) cared about their tenants and were happy to help them in any way they could. A apartment complex, but the location near the Galleria was bad for traffic.

Lived here for just over two years. There is no better combination of square footage, fun tenants, and location for the money. I have immediate access to three major freeways (59, 610 & I-10) and the Westpark tollway. On my lazy days off, I have no need for a car, I can walk to the bank, to get groceries, to eat good food, to go shopping or to Spec's to pick up some good beer to enjoy by the pool. The street lined with oaks reminds me I'm in Texas even if I've sacrificed the big night sky full of stars to live in the heart of the city of Houston. Love it here.

We just signed a lease for our third year here, and we didn't even hesitate to do so. The price on our apartment is unbeatable; the location is perfect; the staff is wonderful; and the apartment itself, while not brand new, is spacious and very comfortable. Parking can sometimes be a small problem, but generally only if you come home quite late.

I've been living here for a few months and this is what I've noticed so far. It's quite, plenty of pools, maintenance is incredibly fast. Be nice to them and they will take care of you. The staff is nice, the location is awesome and the price is unbeatable. I looked for about 4 months before I moved and it's great.
