We had Avalon Building Concepts put the roof on. We are very happy with the results. Would recommend them highly.

They did a good job we already recommended Avalon to our neighbor. They put insulation in our attic.

We are blissfully happy with the work Avalon did on our roof. They came highly reccomended on Angie's List and GAF.com. We also used Avalon because they were the only company that said they would do their best to save the original gutters on our house. We have French architecture and want to preserve as much of it as possible. Our only drawback was that Larry didn't bring enough samples in our first meeting, but Carl knew what we were looking for. It created a couple of postponements. However, Carl, Duke and Mike worked on our roof and they were all just phenomenal. Carl went above and beyond what anybody would have done for any other company. He noticed a vent shaft was too old and dirty, so he went out and got a brand new pipe and it looks amazing. No issues, we would definitely recommend Avalon.

They installed our roof. They were in and out real quick, we didn't hardly see them. Our dish went out for a day. We had to call DirecTV to come fix it, but Avalon paid us back for that. We're real happy with Avalon.

The roofing crew was very fast. They completed the tear off and shingled the roof in under 8 hours. Cleanup was thorough and they did an adequate job protecting landscaping. I was a little disappointed with the aesthetics of some of the work, but someone came back and fixed those things, so overall I am very satisfied.

We had our roof repaired around 6-7 months ago and found out through our contractor that it was not repaired at all. We paid good money for this repair to not have it completed. We have contact Avalon. Someone came out and advised us that it was not done correctly and they would have someone out to fix it. They have not had anyone out to this day. I will never use them again.

Avalon installed attic insulation for me and roofed my garage. The sales person provided helpful information without pressure for an immediate commitment. Work teams were friendly, professional and clean up was excellent. Will call them again when I need work on my home!

We had some roof damage from a couple of big branches from our maple tree in the last round of ice storms that came through in January. We called 4 places and Avalon was the only one who would come out and look at our roof. They put on new roof, gutters, and insulated our attic space. They got in and got done. It took about 1 week more or less. They were done, came back the next day with the dumpster. You couldn't even tell they had been there. Who knew that you could roof in January.

We have used Avalon in the past to remodel a bathroom, then install a roof. We have moved and had a leak in the roof. Called Avalon, they came out and told us what needed to be done. Within a week they were here and repaired the roof. Avalon is very helpful, and knowledgeable.

We hired Avalon to replace the roof on our house and garage. The salesman was knowledgeable and provided the information we needed to make a good decision without pressure. The workers who replaced the roof were prompt – they showed up on time and worked hard throughout the day. Overall, the people we encountered were helpful, knowledgeable and very professional.

We called Avalon Building Concepts with questions about a leaky roof. My husband did alot of research online, and based on reviews thought they were our best bet. Within a couple hours after the phone call, someone was here with a free estimate. We decided to go ahead and book the job. They replaced some vents on our roof, that were leaking. Within a couple days (while we were at work) the job was finished! The problem is completely taken care of and we haven't seen any water in the house since!! They did a great job, and did awesome on cleanup!! If we need anything else done in the future, they will be on the top of our list!

Overall I was very pleased with Avalon as a company and the job that they did for me. They came out for a free estimate, gave me a pretty good deal and put up my gutters within a couple of days. They messed up one area and had to come back and fix it but they were able to return to my house that day (within an hour of when I called in fact). My only real issue was that they gave me an approximate date of when they would put up the gutters and told me they would call me the day before but I never received a call and basically came home to find that I had new gutters which was a nice surprise but I would have liked to receive some notice and or be there when the job was being done.

We had gutters put on our house . They were prompted and on time cleaned up after they were done, hardly knew they were here.

Avalon put a new roof on my house! They did an awesome job! Financing was a sinch and two days later they started! Took them two days to finish and each day they cleaned up. You wouldn't even know they were there! A+ in my book!

I recently had a roof installed by Avalon Building Concepts, and they did a fantastic job. They were quick, professional, and did quality work. I highly recommend them.

Six years ago thumbing through the Yellow Pages I picked Avalon to get an estimate on roofing for our home. I called in the AM and within 2 hours a representative came from Avalon and wrote me an estimate for the roof. Avalon did a wonderful job and there was no mess afterwards to clean up like I have had with contractors in the past.



Last year I contacted Avalon again, needing a new paved drive way. Justin Hansma came over and within the hour and estimate was written. It was a very hot day out 87 degrees and I offered Justin a glass of Ice Tea.



When we got in the house I mentioned to Justin about building a new deck as well. Justin immediately suggested if we were going to do the deck the drive way could come later and if we wanted a new deck it should get started quickly because the Fourth of July holiday was a couple of weeks away. 1 week later we had a new deck and what a super job they done they even hauled away the old decking wood.

June of 2013 I had the drive way put in along with a new front storm door and a complete relaying of new brick on the Pool Patio.



I don’t know how other contractors in the Grand Rapids area do or have I wanted to ask around because I’m very pleased with Avalon and I have suggested this to many of my neighbors, friends, and family. There are many contractors in the Grand Rapids area but from the experience I’ve had with others in the past Avalon is tops: professional, courteous, very friendly to get along with when questions are asked pertaining to the work being completed.
