I purchased an antique item (worth over $10.000)from a local auction house. Andrew Hack at the Packaging Store was good enough to give me a quote over the phone for the pick up, packaging, shipping & insurance of this item. I was very much impressed with the detail description of the packaging procedure for this item. Andrew took care of this item a few days after the auction had ended and before I knew it, my item had arrived at my home in perfect condition. The item is now sitting on my mantle for all my friends and family to see. I was so happy with Andrew's complete service and in fact, the total cost was less than he originally quoted. I was even more impressed when I received a call from Andrew as he followed up on my item. I would highly reccomend the Packaging Store of Troy to anyone who needs their valueable, fragile or large items packaged and shipped. Thank you again Andrew for the wonderful job you did for me. I will continue to use your service in the future and tell all my friends and family about you.

Everything arrived in perfect condition and the package job was excellent!! Not to mention at a price that was very reasonable. I have been purchasing through online auctions for over a year now, and have seen some pretty bad packaging jobs. There is nothing worse than hearing the rattling of glass when you go to unwrap your antique or fragile items. I'd have to say that this packaging was one of the best I've seen! I was using another shipper who could have cared a less about my items, but not Andy, Andy was great, he let me know what was going on every step of the way, and even followed up after I received my shipment to make sure everything arrived safe and sound. My job required his staff to pick up at a local auction house, safely wrap and carton artwork and get it from MI to CA without any problem. The Packaging Store of Troy, MI was contracted to ship several boxes of fragile antiques & fine art including paintings, framed prints under glass, antique glassware, silver candlelabras, antique watches, Art Deco ceramics, delicate antique doll house furniture, antique textiles and Oriental rugs. I have been a museum curator and fine arts conservator for over 30 years and I know the most damage that occurs to fine art and antiques usually occurs during shipping, BUT the Packaging Store's very professional staff provided EXCELLENT packing and shipment of several boxes traveling over one thousand miles with not a single damaged item! I won an item at an auction house and made a call to Andy, who took great care to insure that the item was packed EXTREMELY well for its long journey to its new home (Hawaii). When I first moved to San Francisco from Royal Oak, I left behind my original artwork. I was very nervous about shipping these unique glass pieces and framed art. My Mother, back in Southfield, recommended Handle With Care.



Much to my joy and relief, everything arrived in perfect condition. Each piece was covered in durable hard foam or fastidiously hand-wrapped and packaged with extreme care. Even the delicate glass successfully traveled 3000 miles, unbroken!

I have also used their packaging services many times to pack and ship protype parts that were " one of a kind" and very valuable and all arrived safely to their destinations. We just arrived in Florida and just want to say thank you for making our trip to "doable". Both my wife and I are in our 80's. The stress of flying, fetching and then dragging luggage is a bit more than we can handle. In addition, my wife is in a brace and sight impaired. (DO not feel sorry for us!) However, you suggested that we all ship our luggage down ahead of our arrival and have it waiting for us in our hotel. It made traveling so much easier. And, we are thrilled to know that the return trip will be just as smooth since you have pre-arranged to have our luggage picked up at the end of our stay and returned directly to our home. You pretty much can't go wrong with Handle With Care Packaging Store in Troy. You will be hard pressed to find a more courteous and helpful staff. I have sent numerous packages from there, from everything from an antique lamp to a new sofa, and they have always done a tremendous job getting it sent in a timely and neatly done order. HWC is so much faster and affordable than many of the other stores, such as UPS or FedEx, and the help is much more accomodating. I can not reccomend this place enough.
