Nice restaurant for mexican food

Love the food that always is fresh and very delicious to say the least! They say it tastes so good because it is made with Love!!! And that it is! Thank you and keep up the great job! Personally I love, love, love the MENUDO!!!

A gringa friend took me to this hard-to-find place. Parking es very limited, no public restrooms, outdoor dining only, standing room only to order and very disorganized but, when I sunk my teeth into their Stuffed Sopapilla I realized that This is New Mexico's BEST KEPT SECRET and I hesitate to share it with others

Albuquerque's best New Mexican--all facets--bar none!

Compared to nothing but its own style fresh cooking El Modelo will take the pepsi challenge with anyone here in Albuquerque...this food is one of a kind next to no one here in this city unique taste very good and original style other mexican restraunts just dream on keep following one anothers same style...Tamales the best, stuffed sopa the best, tacos the best, hand held burros the best ect, ect....

El Modelo's has been a favorite of mine since the 1960's and still a favorite. I consider their food authentic and delicious. My favorite is the stuffed sopapilla. Everytime I return to Albuquerque, I make sure I eat there. FYI, my Dad used to go there in the 1930's since he lived nearby and was also a fan of their "true" Mexican food.

They put the "A" in authentic New Mexico food. I've enjoyed their food since I was a young boy. I had to move to Kansas in 1993, when we're back home, going to El Modelo is a MUST, to re-stock our freezer with their food. I don't care what I order there, it's a treat to the taste buds.I've shared some of the food I bring from El Modelo and I ALWAYS have request to bring some of their food back with me. ((I need a bigger truck)). I wish we could order their food online and have it shipped, better yet, I wish they would open a restaurant here.

Food is amazing. Great place to walk up and get a quick bite to eat. The prices are amazing for the amount of food that you get. It's no wonder they have been an Albuquerque favorite for so very long!

They serve the best Tamales in the world, a little expensive but worth every penny. And their Carne Adovada Burrito is an addiction leaving you wanting some more. I live in Colorado and nothing has compared to them so that is why my family and I including friends try to make a trip at least a couple times a year and anything longer than that will have you depressed. If had the money and the know how I would try to team up with them and bring a restaurant to Colorado where I know it would be succesful. Until the next time I'm there I can only dream.
