My neighbors had a rat infestation that management tried to blame on us when we never even saw a rat. Another couple had a roach infestation. WE WERE LUCKY I think our dog and cat scared away the insects and rodents. We had a moldy bathroom floor that they pretended to fix and a stinky sink. They are very animal friendly, so much so there are stray cats everywhere and pigeons. They seem money hungry and impersonal. The lady we dealt with must have been special or disabled or something, she couldn't spell and promised us all these deals that she later denied. I do think these apartments are better than some in Yuma like hayden square where things get stolen as well as pets but I would recommend renting a house for only a few hundred more.
