York Junior High School is affiliated with the York School District One. The school offers classes from grades eight through nine. Its curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, band, technology, health, agriculture, foreign language and physical education. The school s library media center is an instructional support center for the students and staff to increase students reading skills and to improve their abilities to use technology and books. Its guidance department assists students increase their skills and improve their self-confidence and motivation. It additionally offers meal services to students. The school s sports activities include football, cross country, volleyball, tennis, golf, basketball, wrestling, baseball, soccer, track and field.
