I was shorted on 2 separate occasions when purchasing silver coins, I will not be returning to this establishment.

On January 6th, 2018, I went to the Steinmetz Coin & Currency Inc, location, here in York, Pa, where I reside. Interested in selling a coin collection, I had, I asked for an appraisal. The young man I dealt with, was extremely helpful. I ended up selling my coin collection. I feel that I was given a fair deal. I left extremely satisfied that the young man was very professional, frank as to values, and fair. Thank you very much. Dan Reineberg

Recently my grandmother died and I was forced to have to handle her house hold which she had lived in for years, this is a very difficult thing and after finding some coins in her items I brought them up to Steinmetz to see what I had, if it was anything that may help with the inheritance taxes I am facing. After dealing with such an emotional thing I needed anything else to be as painless as possible. And it was. I was treated with a great amount of respect, given a very nice price on what I had bought in, and even left with a smile on my face after meeting the cutest and most friendly guard dog I have ever seen. I will be returning next week to check on the value of some other items, because of the positive experience this was.

Overall..Very respectful, fair priced place. Really helped me with some coins I found. People were kind and inviting, would recommend Steinmetz for anyone with coin, gold, or silver needs.

Wow! We are very impressed with Michael's knowledge and his fairness dealing with us. We had some coins to sell and felt we could trust the Steinmetz name. They did live up to it! Thank you for the interesting history lesson on coins as well! We will be back!
