WORST movers of ALL TIME! Peri...

WORST movers of ALL TIME! Period. Spoke to a person (mentioned in previous review)who booked my move to a storage space at a given hour. No one shows up after giving them an hour grace period. Apparently he had been trying to call me with the wrong number after transposing the numbers. I should add that he called me on the correct number to get my business and the number that was also in my email. Anyways, he said he would try to get his movers to me. Three hours later, no movers. Oh, they had a problem but they would definitely be there before the freight elevator closes. So, again, no one shows up. I speak to the porter of my building whose palm i can grease to run the freight after 5pm. Great! Finally, I get a call from the movers who are, drum roll please. Stuck in traffic! Time: 7PM. Okay, well, I tell him to try and make it because my storage \place closes and they will get kicked out when the clock strikes the appointed closing hour.So hurry!!! Suffice it to say, they were running so late that it made no sense for them to come. So, those very movers agreed to come at 8am. Cut to, 9am. no movers. Finally, they show up after 9.

Okay, then, they are SLOOOOOOOOOOW as can be. I think it was about 3 hours to pack everything (all boxes were good to go and ready for them) from a one bedroom apt. with not alot of furniture. I meet them on the other end and, again, SLOWEST AND DUMBEST MOVERS on the PLANET. Clearly, someone flunked math class because they had no conception of spacial relations. (You know, a square shape doesn't fit in a circular one)

Nothing was stacked in an efficient manner and there were pockets of empty space in my huge storage space. The boxes were stacked on their SIDE and CRUSHED because the heavier boxes were placed on top of the lighter ones. I only find this out after they pack the space because the storage aisles are too narrow for me to supervise. As we're getting near the end, two men come up to me and says, it might not all fit. Huh??? There's enough space to put all of my stuff and a Clydesdale but the 'three stooges' ($80/hr as someone else paid the same rate) managed to fill the space so inefficiently that not much more could fit. My storage space has a high ceiling and nothing was even close . Again, at the very end, one of the geniuses comes to me and says, come take a look, something didn't fit. Okay, so I go to the storage unit I was out on the loading bay the entire time) and two long seamless papers which were in the unit before anything was loaded in were taken out and they must had discovered them again and now they just said 'sorry' it wouldn't fit. Incidentally, the two guys who did all the stacking and packing were over six feet tall. The third guy who was a foot and a half shorter than the other two and who was with the truck went to the unit after I complained to him. took the two seamless rolls and just placed them on top of everything else horizontally (rather than trying to fit them

diagonally with all of the stuff blocking it). So, it was like six hours later when they finished and no one got a tip. Let me repeat the refrain AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! and one more for good measure AVOID!!!!!!! whoever this walter character is should start a new business, like raising turtles.

All I can say is AVOID AVOID A...

All I can say is AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I booked this company for a move from a small one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn to Massachusetts. I called 3 weeks before the scheduled move date and spoke with a guy named Nick. He quoted me a price of 2.50 a mile for travel time, and 60.00 an hour for two men with a moving truck. He also stated the tolls would be included in the 2.50 a mile rate. On moving day they were supposed to arrive at 9am I get a call at 730 telling me the movers are on the way to my location. At 915 they call and say they are stuck in traffic. They arrive at approximately 1030 and tell me the clock starts upon their arrival. It took them almost 2 and a half hours to load the truck. One employee was loading the truck while the other was moving around my apartment talking on his cell phone. Then we get in the truck and get underway and then I am told that I have to pay the tolls for the ride from NYC to Mass. I was originally told the drive would take between 4 and 5 hours. We didn't arrive in Massachusetts until 730pm the same truck that took 2 and a half hours to load in Brooklyn was now unloaded in 45 minutes in Massachusetts. Upon Completion of the job I was informed it was 10 hours at 60.00 an hour and a mileage fee of 600.00 and a payment of 40.00 for the trucks return tolls in New York. Which amounted to 19.00 on the trip down. When I told them that I was told the tolls were included in the travel fee. I was told "Walter doesn't do that". Then I was treated to the shakedown for a Gratuity because "They don't make any money other than tips" Needless to say I was not happy with the Bait and Switch and I would recommend avoiding doing business with this company.
