I do not believe the 2 negative reviews here, this is an absolutely wonderful place and represents the true High Tea experience; it is both exquisite and sumptuous. All the food is prepared on order, they use only Norwegian smoked salmon, kosher white meat chicken and organic fruits and vegetables, there is definitely NO standard fare here (JVOG). Scrumptious menus for every occasion, a representation of over 100 magnificent teas, this is what you will find. Not one Tea hose in Los Angeles can come close to this establishment in either food or service, they simply are the best. As for the owners, extremely professional and genuinely a very nice couple. I belong to 2 Tea Societies and go to High Tea regularly, we drive over 2 hours each way to enjoy the delights here, the High Tea Cottage is unexcelled and is as superior as the numerous tea houses I once knew in England.

Also the High Tea Cottage has won numerous awards for best Tea Houses here in LA, California and the US.

Tucked away in a side street in Woodland Hills is the High Tea Cottage, a converted house it is elegant without being stuffy. The ambiance is more European than Victorian English and it is as relaxing as a true Tea House should be,



The teas, loose leaf, over 60 different types and flavors. The bring out teas for you to smell before you decide and the pot is always bottomless and very hot. If you want iced tea, it's made in a French press and then poured at the table after that they decanter it in beautiful crystal decanters, very nice,,,,,



The food is exceptional, very fresh tea sandwiches both the curried egg and chicken with cranberries and walnuts is outstanding along with the best cucumber sandwiches we have ever tasted. Scones, straight out of the oven and they have a jam cart to serve the scones at the table, we had 4 jams to choose from.



Desserts, small, European and French tarts, cream puffs, pastries and fabulous chocolate stuffed shells. Oh so good.



Fresh flowers on the tables and decorating the plates of food. Linens, beautiful Royal English china, magnificent crystal and silver, and I even received a beautiful jewelry necklace for my birthday gift as we celebrated my birthday. Prices are good for the amount of food you are given, we took home to go boxes.

They do Private Parties, like Showers, Birthdays and the owners are very knowable, friendly and helpful.

Loved the place, make reservations though.....lots of celebrities go here too!

If you are looking to have High Tea this establishment offers the real deal. Tables are set with magnificent Royal Bone English china, bowls of fresh flowers, crisp clean linens, beautifully decorated and a fabulous menu.

The finger sandwiches are as fresh as fresh can be, the scones the best I've ever tasted and beautiful desserts. It's like going back in time to just break away from the stress of daily life. listen to the beautiful background music, or sometimes they have a live guitarist, just to relax in the lovely surroundings is sheer joy. Whether you want a little or a lot of food, the menu seems to cover it all. Huge tea selection and they use tea cozy's, your never rushed to leave and the owner seems to know exactly hoe to do High Tea right, thus the name, High Tea Cottage. Only drawback is parking on the street or the public lot at the end of the street. The best Tea House in the Valley and rated up in the top for Los Angeles.

Highly recommend for both tea with friend or a private High Tea party, I've had both and have to say all is exceptional, I and friends I've introduced this little gem to go back again and again, it really is a wonderful way to relax, enjoy tea and an afternoon.
