We were considering auction vs. on spot sale of our antiques and had 4 top auction dealers (NY&CT) come in to give us their opinions and bids. Thomas Schwenke stood out as being the most gracious and honest explaining about the pros and cons of auctioning our items. He spent the most time going over the antiques. We accepted his offer (the highest) and he then arranged a time to carefully removed the items after paying us. Everything was carefully inventoried. We would recommend him. By the way, this is a competitive business and I was surprised at the rudeness of one of the most renowned dealers who gave me hell for accepting Tom's offer. Tom assured me he has never lowered himself to do the same. Branford retired resident, downsizing
