Not happy with this place. I purchased a used alternator from them and they also installed it on my Camry. A day later my daughter drives the car to work and it breaks down. I had the car towed to my neighborhood Exxon service station where they informed me the alternator was bad and needed to be replaced. I was shocked considering I had just had one put on the car a day earlier. I called American Auto Savage to inform them I was sold a bad alternator and would need to get a new one they stated they would refund me since I was still under their “warranty”. A few days later I called to see when I could expect my refund and I was then told they had no record of telling me they would give me a refund. I asked for manager who happened to not be available. After several calls I have now been told I was out of luck and they will not be refunding me. Stay away from this dishonest business. 1st and only experience never again. You get what you pay for.

Great service, super helpful got me exactly what I needed quickly and the customer service I received at the counter was outstanding. Definitely recommend giving them a call.

This is the best place to go for car parts new and used. I needed a new rim for my vehicle and not only did they have it in stock, it was WAY cheaper than any other place I went to. I'm going back to get new tires, American Auto Salvage is the best

Terrible! Completely rude and lied over the phone! Even though I was calm and polite asking appropriate questions.



They had a used Rear View Mirror for 25-45 (cost for new at a dealership is $55ish after tax)



And said the $45 is because the have to have a tech go out and remove it... However; The particular mirror for the 2000 Volvo s40, simply slides on/off without anything needing to be unscrewed, etc.



They said the $25 one had a small scratch, and the $45 was pretty decent. Then they change their story and said they charge a $45 minimum on all parts.



So I simply asked the question; If I were to drive there and remove it myself (since a half brain monkey can do it! I did not say this but thought it) would that save cost on delivery and removal?



His response "Well how about I get you a gift card so that way you can feel better about yourself!?" *Hang Up*



If a supervisor cannot appropriately communicate, and provides only excuses = SHADY! Buyer Beware!

I bought an air flow meter from here, the shipping department sent me a wrong one. Tony took care of me right away! Very happy with Tony's service. Will continue to buy parts from here :)

The customer service provided by Tony was outstanding. I have an older car and trying to find a window relay was impossible in the Fort Washington, MD area. Not only did Tony help me determine what I needed, gave me an excellent price but he also assisted me with locating a place to install the part. Thank you so much American Auto Salvage, Inc.
