Had a little difficulty getting a driving schedule organized with Mr. Ajay. He seems toreply promptly only on certain days. After the first session, I was on the fence of continuing with him because he seemed impatient. It was a mistake to continue learning with him. The way he instructs is to chastise you. A driving instructor should be patient above all else.

Another key issue I had was about half the sessions, the instructor had personal hygiene issues. Although not completely overwhelming, a sweat / body odor smell lingered.
It was the middle of summer to be fair, but the instructor also refused to turn on the A.C. and would not allow you to roll down the windows too low. Ajay, if you're reading this, please put on some deodorant.

During the sessions, we would pick up and drop off other students who were also getting instructed. Meaning there would be more than one student in the car at any time. In one of these sessions, the other student and the instructor Ajay were conversating. The student had remarked that another student the instructor had passed a week ago hit and run a week after getting his license. Ajay seemed unconcerned. Take this as you will. In my eyes, there was a moral obligation to let the police know or at least correctly instructing a student so they don't hit and run a week after getting their license.

Ajay was late 3 out of 10 sessions. Mind you that the students drive to the other students homes, but it would be much better if he were on time. Expect to have to wait 10 to 15 minutes extra and be home later than you'd like. After receiving your instruction expect to wait anywhere from 10-20 minutes thereafter for another student to drive you home. Some organizational skills could definitely be improved here.

He marks you down if you can't slam on the breaks when a yellow light appears. Even if you have enough time to get to the other side. Yellow means slow down unless you can make it before it turns red, not slow down regardless of where your positioning is.

Finally, if you want extra classes he charges much more than any of his competitors. I heard from other students that he charges based on how much he likes you. I would not include this point if there were no evidence. I'd asked other students who had taken extra classes and got different prices. One student's quote for extra classes were 50 dollars for 3 sessions and another were for 150 for the same.

If you're a strong driver and believe you can finish in the allotted time, there isn't a need for this point. Take this as a note of his professionalism or rather the lack thereof and heed with caution.

To end such a negative review, I will say that Ajay knows how to drive. He is really strict about his testing. You can ask him questions and he'd reply with good answers, although a bit snarkily.

TLDR - Hygiene issues, impatient, late, unprofessional, but knows how to drive. Tread with caution, would take this instructor if I were really confident in my driving skills prior to his instruction and didn't mind my other points

YMMV, god bless and have a great day
