I used this cleaners for years until they got sloppy and cheap. Sloppy because they started breaking buttons and leaving wrinkles and excess starch on clothes. Cheap because they would only pay two people to work the counters when there were lines that sometimes stretched out the door. Few people have time to wait at the cleaners for 20 minutes to get clothes. The final straw was this week when I discovered that the last batch of clothes I had picked up contained damaged shirts. Six of my best dress shirts (why not the older ones) came back with a circular pink stain about three inches to the right of the right lapel. It has to be a pad or something on one of the machines in the back. The owner claims I'm the only one who has complained. I don't believe that. I had six bad shirts in one bundle. Anyway, these shirts were very expensive … most averaged about $75 while a couple others were about $25 or $30. The owner wanted to give me $100 for the first four shirts … but that was until I found two more. He also wanted to keep the shirts, which, I understand was for insurance purposes. But it was the principle to me. I gave him back the check and took my little damaged shirts home with me. At least I can wear them around the house or something. No way it's fair for them to ruin really good clothes and then devalue them to nothing. I won't be going back there. You'd be smart not to, either.
