disappointing

Ordered quacamole app and pork medallions in mole. No spicy salsa, forgot my app, mole was thin and tasted like chili powder. Chef said it was paprika. Pork was not medallians (pork tenderloin); but, pork roast slices - dry, chewy. Bean soup was good.

disappointed!!!

This was my first and last time. The food had NO taste very bland and the temperature of the food was warm. I could see if the place was crowed, but it wasn't. I will not be back to this place again.

The grand opening for La Roca was just yesterday. I ate there twice before then. The first night was a little chaotic. The service was a little slow because the restaurant was crowded and the staff was new. It was a soft opening and the owner received comments and suggestions from patrons. When I went back the second time, they had the kinks ironed out and took my suggestions seriously. The service was better and the food was better. It's a nice place. I went with a party of 10 and everyone liked their food. The service was great. I know what you're talking about with the margaritas. Everyone at our table ordered one. Our waitress explained the differences in them, again, the learning curve of a soft opening. A visit to La Roca would not be a waste of time or money. If you don't give it a try, you'll be missing out.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT LA ROCA. MY HUSBAND AND I ORDERED CHICKEN NACHOS AND A FROZEN MARGARITA. THE NACHOS WERE VERY MEDIOCRE. THE MENU STATED IT COMES WITH SOUR CREAM AND GUACAMOLE. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OUR WAITRESS FINALLY BROUGHT OUT BOTH. FOR $12 VERY SMALL NACHOS AND MINIMAL CHEESE, CHICKEN AND WAY TOO MUCH LETTUCE. THE MENU STATED $5.50 FROZEN MARGARITAS, BUT WHEN OUR BILL IT WAS $10. WHEN ASKING OUR WAITRESS SHE SAID, "OH IT WAS A ROCA MARGARITA..... I NEVER ASKED FOR THE ROCA MARGARITA.... JUST A PLAIN OLD FROZEN MARGARITA ON THE MENU. THE DRINK WAS VERY SMALL AND SURE DIDN'T HAVE EVEN A SHOT OF TEQUILLA IN THE MARGARITA!
