I have taken my two dogs there 5 times and have never had any problems. They trim their nails and bathe them, there is a grassy area for them to run and play, and the kennels are large. My dogs have not complained other than they missed their Mum.

This place is awful. I would never leave my pet there again.
They lost her collar. They seem very disorganized.

I am a senior citizen and have been boarding my 100 lb. dogs for nearly 10 (ten) years at Winter Haven Kennels. The dog runs are large, clean, and well maintained. In response to Sandra S: on Saturday, March 01, 2014, I dropped off my dogs between 7:00am and 7:30am as I had an academic training in Auburndale at 8:00am - as can be verified. The owner greeted me cheerfully and efficiently. I returned later in the afternoon, unannounced, to pick up my dogs and found the kennels, as always, in supurb condition. I am grateful that the owner is on premises as much as he is, knowing full well that my dogs are being cared for as if I were there.

I would strongly recommend anyone visit the premises anytime to judge for themselves.

This place is a joke, when I showed up in the morning to pick up my dog they owner who also lives there was passed out drunk on the couch. Beer bottles all over, the place stunk so bad and it was around nine in the morning so who was taking care of the dogs while he was in that shape. I was so upset I shook him and he finally woke up, I just wanted to get my dog and leave. Never a apology just made a rude remark if I didn't like it don't come back. So I didn't and want to warn everyone else of this place as well.

I have been using this kennel for over five years. I have always found them responsive to me and my pet's needs (she's on medicine and they take good care of her). I've always found the office and pet kennels to be clean and well kept. I have and will continue to recommend them to my friends with pets.

I was very shocked to see the state of my dog when I picked him up. He was panting heavily and was visibly shaken by his experience. The heat in the kennel was unbearable. It was obvious that the personnel had not made any sort of connection with my pet during his 10 day stay. They put their hand out for the money and handed me his leash and sent me on my way. It was as if they didn't even know he was there except to collect rent.

Very personable staff, they know me and my dogs when I walk in. Always willing to work with the needs of myself and my pets.
