Pro-Tech Plumbing in Winter Haven. What a crook! Ken showed up with a really bad attitude and wanted triple what was quoted plus he did not even know how to do the job. He wanted to bust out the side of our house when other plumbers are saying it is not necessary. Still wanted his $69.00 trip fee or he'd place a lien on my house and had the nerve to say at 6pm he wasn't even interested in doing the job for $325.00. DO not trust your business to Pro-Tech Plumbing in Winter Haven. WOW!!! Found another plumber for a bill of $150.00 and no holes in the side of my house! Do not trust the incompetencey of Ken at Pro-Tech Plumbing,

I hope you don't get taken advantage like we were. We had a leak in one toilet and we asked him to check our other 4 toilets to make sure all was well. He said they all had to be rebuilt and it would cost 250.00 per toilet, you have to be kidding, you can buy the same cheap toilet for about 60.00. One toilet was a few years old, we didn't tell him that. He also gave us a price of 250.00 to fix a tub spray hose that was loose. We paid him the 69.00 service fee and told him to get out. We called Daniels plumbing and he charged 15.00 to fix the tub sprayer and about 25.00 to tweak a couple of toilets. This fool comes with his little clipboard, tries to look all professional, writes outlandish quotes, knowing people in their right mind would never pay those stupid prices. He collects 69.00 service fee for each house he goes to, not bad for a days work, unless someone is foolish enough to hire him. We are seniors, I hope he doesn't take advantage of all seniors.

Pricey

I had them come out to replace the toilet water value and the insides of the toilet. I had no problem with the $69.00 for the call. But can you believe that work was going to cost $229. I than asked well how about just the water value? I was told over $200.
I have used them in the past and was disappointed in the prices. I refused any work. Yes I know I wasted $69 but better that than more money

Ken is very professional and honest, . He replaced a toilet, several months ago ,and recently checked my hot water heater, which was not working. Problem was, the switch had tripped. He could easily have told me that I need a new system, but he did not. He does very good work, and I am quite pleased.

I am VERY happy with the service I received from Ken and Pro-Tech! He was patient and explained all of the options for my problem. I had other plumbing companies out before for this problem and they were more interested in charging my homeowner's insurance than in fixing my plumbing. I was overcharged and had to wait and repeatedly call them to see when they would finally get here. Pro-Tech came when he said and they called before he came so I could put my pets out of the way. I will use this company and gladly recommend them to everyone I can!

Can't say enough, I had called...

Can't say enough, I had called around concerning the re-pipe of my home. Tammy, told me Ken could swing by in about an hour. He was in the driveway in aprox. 22 mins.

He quoted a price of $3800.00 for this. They were also using the new Superpex(PEX) tubbing, type pipe,(product of Canada) that is a little more expensive but much easier to work with and much more chemically resistant to things like overspray of, WD-40, Bug spray, some cleaners, ect. Which will cause CPVC to swell under pressure in time and Burst. I ask about the cost of new shower control valves, since mine were old and failing. He said $150.00/ valve installed. ((2 new Moen's) I also had a quote on 1additional house bib. I said I'd get back with him. So, I thought about this thing threw the night and into the next day (Friday). Friday later in the afternoon, Ken called back, stating his re-pipe crew didn't have anything scheduled for Mon. or Tues. yet. He offered to do the Whole Thing w/new valves & hose bib @ &3800.00! My Response, Lets Do It!!! Came by picked 1 half Pmt. and said they'd be here @ 9:00am Monday.. (They were here @ 8:49am) and 3 of them came from Orlando!

They completed the piping by 6:14pm and out a here. (Yes they pressure Tested the lines up to 120-PSI before pumping-up the water. And of course checked for leaks..

Of which there were NONE..Finale pmt. followed inspection, and patchwork..

To Kenny & Crew, Nice work guys and quite Professional - Don't want to forget Tammy...

Thanks,

Steve Carper

Pro-Tech arrives quickly and we find Ken to be very professional, neat, and he gets the job done fast. We have been through several plumbers throughout the years and this company is the only one we have returned to and will continue to do so when need be. We are very satisfied with their service.

The technician Ken that came to my property, quickly stopped the leak and replaced my old water heater with a brand new one that he had with him on his truck. Fast, Efficent, Reasonably Price. Absolutely Awesome!!!

The technician that came to my home was absolutely awesome. My water bill was running unusually high. The Pro-Tech technician that came out immediately diagnosed the problem. I had a leak on my old piping under my concrete floor. The technician not only diagnosed what the problem was, but also was able to locate where the leak was occurring within just a few square inches, in my 2,000+ square foot home. I was completely amazed! The technician was extremely knowledgeable. It seemed like he knew everything there was to know about plumbing. He quoted me a price based on his spectacular diagnosis, immediately fixed the problem, and charged me exactly what he quoted me. Wow! I don’t think I could have asked for better service from any plumbing company anywhere. I would definitely recommend Pro-Tech Plumbing to anyone that has a plumbing problem. That Pro-Tech plumbing really does have “Pro Technicians”. Keep up the good work!

RIP OFF!!!

I was extremely disappointed in my service with Pro Tech Plumbing! The tech who came out was terrible and in the end they charged me 100.00 more than they quoted me. They were not upfront with their pricing or any information! Do NOT hire this company!

Amber Meade (Amberaw17) of 174 cloverdale rd. Winter Haven Fl Requested service on 8/30/2010 She was quoted a service fee to show up and give a price quote for a repair. We arrived as scheduled on 8/30/2010 and quoted a price to do the work. She did not want to have the work done that evening and stated she wanted to schedule to do the work later that week (09/03/2010). She paid the $49 call out charge that evening due to the fact that she called us out and had no work done. We arrived that morning (09/03/2010) right on time to do the work and she was not there and did not answer any of the contact phone numbers that she had given us (she stood us up). The service tech waited there for her for about 45 minutes before leaving. We left an invoice on her door for another $49 call out fee. She then called us later that day and stated that she wanted us to come out again and that she would be there this time. We arrived for the third time and finally performed that work that had been quoted on the 1st visit for the price that had been quoted. When she was handed the bill for the work for the price she was quoted originally, plus the second $49 call out fee for when we were stood up that morning, she was outraged that she was being charged for both trips out when no work had been done on those trips. We explained that those are the charges, and all charges had been explained to her before she had set up service with us. She then stated that she would write bad reviews about us on the internet. The service tech explained that "while we are sorry to hear that, that does not relieve you of the responsibility for your bill.". She paid for the work plus the call out fee for the visit earlier that morning. We can only assume that when she says she was "over charged $100" she is referring to the two $49 call out charges that she knew about in advance and agreed to pay. It's also worth mentioning that she knew about both charges the whole time and was advised about them both verbally by the dispatcher and in writing by the service tech. She knew that each time we were called out there would be a $49 call out charge. We have to cover our costs to put fuel in the truck and pay our techs to drive out there. She was in no way over charged for anything and knew about all charges before they were applied. She paid for all call out charges and quoted charges for repairs on the days that they were applied. Those are the facts. Unfortunately, simply providing prompt service, up-front pricing, and professional workmanship isn't enough sometimes. There are people out there that cannot be pleased unless they "getting one over" on the other party.

Blown away!

I had called several other companies out before to snake my drains but it just kept stopping up. The Ken and Mike with Pro-Tech recommended that the pipes be inspected with a scope to see why the clogs keep coming back. They did and found that the pipes were actually broken. They repaired the pipes and fixed the floor. The drains seem to be working better than ever now. They were very knowledgeable and professional the whole time.

Will use again

They came out when they said they would and fixed my toilet. The price was reasonable although it didn’t take that long to fix.

Good job :)

I had a leak in the wall somewhere. I called them and they showed up less than one hour later. I man named Sam used an electronic box with a big microphone and found out it was actually coming from under the house. He used a jack hammer to bust open the floor where the leak was at. He fixed the leak and the hole in the floor. He did an excellent job and was very polite. I will use them again for sure.
