Bethabara Park became a nonprofit museum in 1970 and was founded in 1753. A National Historic Landmark, it was a site of the German-speaking, It is located in Wintson-Salem, N.C. with more than 175-acres of wildlife preserve area with over 125 species of birds. The preserve area includes more than 6-acres of wetland area with a over 650-foot long boardwalk, a duckboard walk, walking trails, a colonial arboretum of trees in Reuter's inventory and a bog garden of unusual native plants. This museum features a natural history resource center for educational programs to study the history of the colonists in their natural environment.
