Burke Street Pizza has been a part of the fabric of Downtown Winston-Salem since early 2003. Started by a native New Yorker, this neighborhood pizzeria has won numerous awards, including Best Pizzeria (10 Years Straight!) and Best Late Night Food. Due to great demand, we’ve added another store on Robinhood Road. And we’ve maintained our close-knit team atmosphere which will make you feel welcome every time you stop in for your slice of New York-style pizza!

Good pizza, kind of that 'hole in the wall' feeling. Haven't been back in a while.

Food/service

Ordered 4x, and I hate to say each time the food was bad. Philly steak sub and fry. Each time sub was made to order and dry :( I was really disappointed !!! Their repartition did not hold to the name. I did call back with the complaint but I would have to return the majority of the food which would have been fine if it had NOT been a hour already!!!!!!! Sorry but I suggest not to eat their!!!

Not to slam Burke St. Pizza, b...

Not to slam Burke St. Pizza, but I was very displease with the service. No greeting as you enter the establishment the whole self serve your self, if your dinning in doesn't work for me. Placing an simple order like 18in veg Pizza with pepperoni added on one side was a big task. 20 min later order was up to disbelief the pizza was made incorrectly, half veg and half pepperoni. I immediately informed them of the error, at this point I did care I was hungry. Brought the pizza to the table and notice the veg were not cooked, it was like they forgot to put the veg before they put it in the oven. The icing on the cake was when this was bought it to management attention the answer I got was (that's how we make it). RAW! uncooked veg's cut up and sprinkled on top of and already done pizza. I could have made a better pizza in an Easy Bake Oven with a 100 watt light bulb. You can really tell the owner really don't care how his store is seen to the public poor service, to many employee's, confuse management. This was my third time at the restaurant and last I can believe someone would run an store like an chow line on an Aircraft Carrier.

Love this place

The food is ususally great. Salad has actually got green leaf instead of iceburg (horahh!). Pasta is freshly made. Stuff shells and lasagna are fabulous. Ice Tea usually very good. large wine selection. Friendly service. This is where I prefer to eat if I want Italian food. Have never had a bad experience unless it was caraoke night and the patron is off key.
