I recently moved to Arkansas City and have been remodeling an old house. In the process I've hired several different contractors and have been pleased overall with everyone, with the exception of Twin Valley Landscaping. The verbal estimate on the telephone was not the price that I was finally billed. The project was suppose to be started in two weeks after we agreed on the estimate... but it actually wasn't finished for 5 weeks. He did get a permit for the work, and the valuation of the job on the permit didn't even match the final price. He did not have the property marked for pipe lines before he started the work. This is required with accordance to the permit. We had many phone conversations with him about this job, and I will have to admit that I am partially responsible because I DID NOT GET ANYTHING IN WRITING!!! This, I found out was a major mistake! If you use this company... MAKE SURE EVERYTHING HE SAYS HE IS GOING TO DO IS IN WRITING, BEFORE YOU AGREE TO ANYTHING!!!
