The Snipes Academy of Arts and Design serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes teachers, curriculum specialists, counselors, technology facilitators, paraprofessionals, social workers, and cafeteria and custodial employees. The academy supports a range of student programs in art, music, dance, drama and physical education. The Snipes Academy of Arts and Design also offers the English as a Second Language program. In addition, it provides medical care, mental and behavioral health support and guidance counseling services to students. The academy has a parent-teacher association that supports and sponsors a variety of school events and activities. Located in Wilmington, N.C., the Snipes Academy of Arts and Design has a media center that provides several online card catalogs.
