I’ll cover as many as I can describe here:



*Taste – Not only was the food cooked perfectly, but the dining room was very tastefully done and very clean.



*Touch (texture) – Did I mention clean…any restaurant that would bring me to a table before cleaning it gets 2 stars removed off the bat. Laterna looked like it had just been through a closed weekend for cleaning…and it was a Friday!!! How many restaurants can stay clean on a Friday?!? Back to the food…I mentioned it was tasty, but it was not over, or under, cooked. Soggy pasta can ruin the best dish.



*Smell – My companion, who doesn’t wear a lot of perfume, was not over powered by emanations from the kitchen. When the dishes were served, they didn’t attack me with a sizzling attack of grease. That’s not to say that the dishes were low fat, it just stayed in the sauce, as it should!



*Sight – I’ve already covered the dining room above. The staff was attired nicely too, NO FLAIR.



*Sound – The only thing I could hear over my “MMMM’s” was the melodious serenade on a piano secreted in the back dining room. I was impressed that it wasn’t piped music, but actually the owner herself. Oh, did I mention she was as lovely as she played. (Shhhhh, don’t tell my wife)



Our Waitress was fully versed on the menu, and proved it under questioning. I even mentioned a couple of alterations and additions to the written menu and she took them with a smile and ensured that I received what I ordered, THE FIRST TIME. I asked for a plate of olives on the side and it immediately arrived without a single raised eyebrow.



Kudos to the kitchen. My meal in a timely fashion, not overly cold or hot, and in a timely manner. The entrée arrived as soon as I had finished my salad.



Only one problem...parking. When people find out how good this place is, they'll need more of it.
