First Settlement Physical Therapy (FSPT) is a family owned private practice that strives to treat its employees and patients as part of that family. We have been in business 15 years and have grown into 15 clinics throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley. FSPT’s first clinic was founded in Marietta, OH in 1999. The company name originates from Marietta being the Northwest Territory’s first settlement so we thought First Settlement Physical Therapy would be quite fitting! FSPT is owned by Hema Hargus. Her son, Simon Hargus; her husband, Phil Hargus; and her daughter in-law, Lisa Hargus, along with an extremely well-trained staff, help run FSPT and make it the Mid-Ohio Valley’s most trusted physical therapy provider.

I had recently undergone therapy for a fractured shoulder. Having never required therapy before, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The staff at First Settlement Physical Therapy were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, with regard to my particular injury. The rehabilitation process was actually very smooth and enjoyable, and I was back up and running in no time. Thanks so much!

I have been treated very nice at First Settlement Physical Therapy! The staff is very courteous and kind to me. They push me to go far and they make sure I am comfortable doing so. I am very thankful that they encourage me and push me to do my exercises so I can reach my goal of getting my arm where I can use it! I know no pain no gain!
