The Friends University Ballet Department offers degree programs for performing artists in Wichita in Kansas. The department provides opportunities for studies in ballet, teaching, administration and therapy, as well as participates in exchange programs. It also involves a range of guest artists and teachers annually. The Friends University Ballet Department also introduces dancers to current artists in the field of dance. The department hosts conferences that involve more than 25 university faculty and dancers representing over 10 universities with college ballet programs.
