Affiliated Medical Services Reference Laboratory, also known as AMS, offers solutions for clients in the health care and industrial sectors. Established in 1983 as a Regional Independent Reference Laboratory, it provides a range of laboratory testing and consultation services to regional hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and physicians in Kansas. The laboratory maintains a veterinary medicine division. Affiliated Medical Services Reference Laboratory provides services in the fields of microbiology, immunology, chemistry, hematology and toxicology. It offers supplies, such as tubes, needles and centrifuges for the proper collection of specimens. The laboratory s toxicology laboratory is accredited by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Affiliated Medical Services Reference Laboratory operates under the Via Christi Health System.
