I know for a fact that the owner of Monroe is not, in fact, a jerk. I met at least one of the owners several years ago and he was pleasant. I have not no real issues with Monroe. Any time we've had an issue or concern, they have corrected it. I have always been treated with respect. One funny thing is our lab (she died) use to love to bark at the technicians that came on the runs...the guys were always so nice to our dog, I even think they gave her a doggie treat one week. It was always a back and forth game every Thursday morning and the Lab knew it was Thursday and always wanted outside early. LOL. No plans to change

They threw my nearly brand new $85 steel wheel barrow in the truck today -- I SAW THEM DO IT -- and then lied to me that it must have been taken by scrapper. Several emails to the company have gone unanswered. No apology. NOTHING. Not even an attempt to resolve anything with me.

I started with Monroe many years ago because I wanted to support a local business. But there's no excuse for lying to a customer and not even answering an email. I would have settled for an apology or even an intelligent discussion with someone. I heard the damn thing get crunched in front of the next house. I SAW IT go in the truck.

Lousy customer service. I start somewhere else next week.

I can't say enough BAD things about this company! Monroe's Rubbish Removal is completely unprofessional, and rude. The owner is a complete jerk who goes out of his way to be rude to customers. Do a search for their other listings here on yellowpages.com and you will see that they are not wll liked, and they have only BAD reviews, and only one good review, which I suspect originated with the owner since it was poorly written and full of grammatical errors. The owner is very rude to his customers - I do not recommend Monroe's Rubbish Removal AT ALL! AVOID!

The owner is a complete jerk! He calls up on the phone and leaves long rambling incoherent rude messages. Don't ever rent from this company or you will end up regretting it. AVOID AT ALL POSSIBLE COSTS

Terrible Customer service! The first week I had service with Monroe's they were a week late. My trash sat in the bin for two weeks in the middle of August because apparently there was a landscaper's truck blocking them from the bin. Why not just roll the bin around so the garbage truck arm can grab it?? hmmm. I didn't complain, but I also was NOT offered a credit or an apology. THEN when I moved out of my house I cancelled my service and they said they would have to charge me an extra week because my bin wasn't empty and they have one truck that empties on Friday and another truck that collects bins on Monday... WTF? Monroe's, your truck schedule should not affect me. I paid for the trash that is in the bin and I am not adding to the bin now that I'm moved out, so why are you charging me for an extra week. I told them on the phone, it's not about the money, it's about the principal. I brought up the week they were late when they first started my service and I got NO-where. Total amateurs when it comes to customer service. Over $4.50 they have pissed off a person who could have recommended the new homeowners to their service... Instead, I will be saying bad things about their company every chance I get.

i have called 3 times because they have not picked up my recycling in 2 months. i talked to the owner who yelled at me and said it's dark outside and the guy probably can't see... nice excuse. anyways, i had to hang up the phone because the owner was yelling at me..nice customer service. DO NOT USE THEM! i would have picked 0 stars but that wasn't an option.

We have been using Monroes for years.. never had much of a problem with them til today.... We had a wedding in our back yard. yep, lots of trash as you can imagine 163 people would create. So we stored it in our garage til garbage day came. it was put out neatly, wrapped and in boxs and cans... these guys took only our normal container and one bag. left about 7 bags of garbage at the curb. We called them.. they told us we went over our weekly alotment of garbage... come on... there where weeks that we didnt have our alotment.. some weeks due to vacations none was put out at all. Talk about knit picking! so got on the phone with them..... they say we will come back and pick up the rest for 55 bucks! We just paid them 55 bucks for the last quarter garbage pick up.. What a rip off these people are. I could hear the snotty woman on the other end of the phone with my husband. These people are definately in the wrong business. We will be switching garbage service. Its funny too..,.. their son, used to go to church with my son... guess the family that owns this business needs to return. reap what ya sow... give bad service, your not gonna have a business left. Run fast and far from Monroes rubbish if I where you.,

Do not use Monroe Rubbish Removal, they will break your garbage cans. They have broke 5 of my garbabge cans in the last 3 months, they are about 20-25 a piece so that is more damage than the price of there service. However there policy is not to replace cans, cause they say that lowe's and home depot and etc.. by 2nd rate cans that do not pass inspection so it it your fault they break, I talk to the owner myself and he basically told me where to go, if you have had damage in anyway from Monroe's Rubbish Removal let me know as I am filling a small claims suit against them and would like to make it as big as deal as possible since the owner tried to blame me for his worker's breaking my property. Also they can rent a can for $1 a month but you are responsiblr for it and they say the value is $135 so if something happens to it you are on the hook for $135 dollars. They also say there policy is not to replace personal cans but when I looked on the back of my bill it doesn't say anything about it. So at this point I am furious and am gonna to go out of my way to tell people how horrible of a business this place really is. If you have to choose a company I went with Waste Management, and they let you use a can for free.One more thing I told the owner I was going to file a small claims suit he said " Go ahead it will cost $500 to file" he is wrong it cost $25 and it is going to be the best $25 I ever spent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
