We needed 2-3 low voltage electrical lines run in our 3-family home to rezone heating system and connect thermostats.

PROS:
1. Two workers arrived at designated timeframe
2. At arrival, I walked them through the home and explained what we needed and they left to acquire the materials that they needed and returned fairly quickly and started to work.

CONS:
1. Two workers did not have face masks/PPE and we are still in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. We had to provide them masks as one of the tenants let me know that they were uncomfortable with their presence.
2. The job required creating several openings in the walls in the home to run the electrical lines. I understood but was not happy about the size of some of the wall/ceiling openings they made. The workers did not have any tarp to lay down as they moved from one work area to the next which meant there was a lot of plaster and dust throughout. Although I did not expect them to clean up after themselves, it would have been considerate of them to use a tarp to minimize the clean up for the owner/tenants.
3. I felt the cost was high. One line was run from third floor to basement furnace room and a second line was added for existing thermostat adjacent to furnace room wall. They were there for about 4 hours and when it was time to pay, there was some confusion between main office and the workers about price quoted. One of them explained that they had been there an extra hour but we were quoted a price $1,425 based on the job not the time that the workers labored on the job.

Certified Queens Electricians arrived on time for my work Halogen downlighters, light fitting, RCD tripping. They are highly skilled and knowledgeable. All work was carried out efficiently with clear explanations and completed for less than the initial quotation. Would be happy to recommend to anyone requiring an electrician and would use them again myself.

Certified Queens Electricians was able to fit me in at very short notice to install and replace five pendant lights in preparation for a party the following weekend. They remained good natured throughout even though the nature of the lights meant that the job was time consuming. They also took the time to explain other work we should consider having done at a future point in time and was happy to provide a detailed quotation for that work.
