My girlfriend went in for an oil change a couple of nights ago.



$330. She got talked into services she did not need. Transmission fluid ($150) that had just been done 5 weeks prior by her father, but she didn't know about it. Rear differential fluid ($80), again, not needed, not sure why that was suggested at all. Couple of other things that weren't really needed such as an in-cabin air filter and oil that was $60 instead of standard oil.



She came home saying she was scared her car would not work unless she got this stuff done, so it would seem some scare tactics were in play by the staff.

Took our truck in for routine oil change. Staff was happy, friendly, and quick to offer every service under the sun. The next morning, I noticed an oil spot in our driveway. This truck has had no leaks. Took the truck back to the business. They looked and said our valve gaskets needed to be replaced. Really? Having had no leaks before, I found it strange the gaskets go bad at the same time we have our oil changed. We decided NOT to take their word for it and had someone else look at it. Glad we did! Someone forgot to tighten the oil filter properly. Way to go Valvoline, White House!
