"Bernard Izzo Sr, a native Westporter, learned landscaping from his father and began his own business in 1962. When his son arrived in 1966 he renamed the business Izzo & Son Country Gardens and found a retail location on the Post Road. For over 40 years Bernie has hand-picked the largest selection of quality annuals, perennials and hanging baskets in the entire county. Izzo's selects products from 17 states and Canada on regular basis to fill the greenhouse. His son, Bernard Jr owns Izzo Landscape, does the custom landscape design and installation."
