I adopted my shepherd here about a year ago. The people were friendly and it is obvious they care about the animals in the shelter.

One dog had been adopted a few times and returned because she was raised outside her whole life and I could tell that the man who helped me, did not want the puppy to go through that again.

I feel compelled to write a fantastic review to outweigh the negative comments. Many people have different standards of how their pet should be treated. However, I believe this humane society truly wants their dogs to live a free, happy life,, taken care of as if they were the owners children! Not kept in a crate all day.

We adopted Trixie on a Saturday. We got there past they're adoption hours but they did it anyway. The staff was very nice and help us out a lot picking our next dog. I don't know what all the negative comments are about but I've never had a bad experience here.

I believe they send out animal control to people yards and coach them into the van for money just to keep themselves employed!

My wife and I one year ago adopted from the humane society in carroll county a wonderful one year old female mixed breed long haired cat. Those of you who put down shelters like this are most likely the self same idiots who also do not have their cats or dogs fixed and have litter after litters of unwanted animals. It is no wonder these animals never have a chance to live. Maybe one day the government might decide to do the same to humanity that you claim is done to these poor animals. hypocrits and liars all you are. Remember what goes around comes around. Also he personel we delt with were not only knowledgable but also were genuinely nice to us and were happy to hear that our adoptive family member was doing very well in her new surroundings.
