Auditone Hearing Aids uses bait-and-switch sales technique in advertising to pray on senior citizens.



Recently Auditone Hearing advertised $299 and $399 special for hearing aids. I decided to give it a try. I knew that I have a hearing loss and wanted to see if hearing aids would help me hear better.

After the test I asked to try $299 or $399 hearing aids, however, sales person said that these hearing aids will not work with my hearing loss. He recommended $2900 hearing aid on special for $2000, only while he is here, during the event. I insisted on trying advertised spacial $299 before thinking about $2000 hearing aid. He refused, stating that it is not worth his time and advertised for $299 is not even a hearing aid, it is just an amplifier. I am not sure what is the difference, however this is a classic bait-and-switch sales technique used to pray on senior citizens. After reading online reviews I found out that owner's licence is on probation for multiple sales and advertising violations total 9 violations. Stay away!

The staff at the Westlake Village location were exceptional - everyone was super nice, the specialists took the time to explain my hearing loss to me, I never felt rushed or pushed to buy anything. I could tell these people just loved their job. I have been wearing the hearing aids I got from them for almost a year now and I am very satisfied (I am still greeted with a smile every time I come by for my clean&check). The hearing aids really made a huge difference in my life and I am recommending Auditone to all my friends and family!
