The Facilities Development & Operations department is responsible for the maintenance and management of county-owned facilities and properties. The department is operated by the government of the Palm Beach County in Florida. Its customers include the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the Board of County Commissioners. The department s service area encompasses more than 2,000 square miles. The Facilities Development & Operations department maintains and manages courthouses, fueling sites, libraries, jails, parks, health clinics and emergency operation centers. It prepares design plans for capital projects. The department administers bidding and capital project construction activities. The Facilities Development & Operations department is also responsible for the rehabilitation and renovation of the county s facilities.
