Oakcrest Elementary School is an educational campus that enrolls students in kindergarten through grade six. It serves more than 1300 children and offers classes in various subjects, including math, science, social studies and English. Established in 2004, the school provides basic instruction in arts, music and physical education. Located in West Jordan, Utah, it offers the Student Tutoring Achievement for Reading program that helps children to achieve their ideal reading levels. In addition to basic academic teachers, Oakcrest Elementary School also employs a staff of coordinators, guidance counselors, speech pathologists and resource educators. It maintains a parent-teacher association that conducts various award-winning contests for the children. The school is a part of the Jordan School District, which owns and operates several elementary-, middle- and high-level educational institutions.
