This company is a joke! I was doing my own investagation to see if any other complaints have been made and not to my surprise there is several! I worked at a facility of theirs in another state! since i became a cna i was always told if you wouldn't put your parent in there then you shouldn't work there! i was that cna that felt like i had to be there to be that watchful eye, be the residents voice. i have seen some things and watched corporate swoop in to cover things up! i was harrassed, humilated by this company and then fired because they knew i had evidence of things they had done! it will come out and i hope others will hear and take a look further into this organzation!

I have been associated with this organization since 2006 when I placed my mother in one of their facilities in Georgia. I couldn't agree with auntbetty review more. The Administrator is immature, cold, uncaring, devious, and vindictive. The Risk Manager is certainly an asset for Cypress as she stoops just about as low as one could get, even intimidating cna's to sign off on reports regarding injuries, etc., that they were not even privy to. The food as aunt betty say's is horrible, the menu's are written for the public and state to see, but the actual food --well, let me give you an example. The Italian Hoagie...sounds good. here's what you get. A piece of white sandwich bread, a pice of processed turkey and balogna then a piece of wheat bread with side packet of mayo. The noon meal is usually good as this is when most relatives and State would be there to see. They are understaffed on weekends and most nights, not because there aren't enough willing, but because corporate doesn't want to pay for enough people to work to adequately care for the residents. The 2.5 regulation is a formula and does nothing when one of the two assigned CNA's in assigned to the dining room to help feed and the other one is in the room feeding bedridden residents, that leaves the nurse to take care of all other residents. They don't answer bathroom call lights or wheelchair alarms until they finally get tired of hearing them that's why they have so many falls. Activities, if you can call them that are for the same people day in and day out leaving the majority to just sit, mostly the men. They have a family council, but Administration all but refuses to acknowledge them nor is she willing to work with them on any terms but her own. State has been in there so often, someone thought they worked there. No Cypress Management sucks, and aunt betty is right when she says it's hard to find a place to bring your complaints...they're very well hidden. She should try Alex Paley, COO and/or Harris Schwartzberg (who is actually the owner of the parent company). Cypress Healthcare Mgmt. 4 West Red Oak Lane, Suite 201, West Harrison, ny 10604 We are now working with the Inspector General and the Governor on this facility.

I cannot agree more. I'm only sorry that the reviewer stopped writing as there is so much more that needs to be addressed. No one should hate going to a nursing home, it should be a place for one to live out the rest of their lives in comfort, respected by staff and given the highest quality of care in every aspect of their daily lives.

Cypress is owned by investors interested in the bottom line only. The quality of management, quality of care and most especially the quality of the food is only up to par when the state is due in for an inspection and those dates are known in advance. The week before there is a flurry of activity to make sure their butts are covered "on paper". In the facility my family member is in, the linens are in desperate need of replacing, the majority of the food these people eat is frozen food; breaded, and usually dry and tough. A lack of common sense seems prevalent there also. Activities are a joke. To cover their butts for the state they wheel about 25-30 residents into a room for exercise. Sounds good---NOT. All but one of the residents is totally unaware of what's going on, some are asleep, others are sadly in a state of confusion while others even have their back to the instructor, but on paper 25-30 people participated in exercise class and if it's recorded on paper, the state is satisfied.

So many times the menu sounds like a wonderful meal is going to be served. However, many times they don't get what's printed (it's for state to see). The administrator is as cold as ice and only appears to interact with a resident when there is a large number of family present as during the holiday meal. All this being said and there is NO ONE to turn to for help!!! (so far!)

management of our treasured resources our elderly

this management company for long term and sub acute care for our treasured resources is in my opinion shabby. looking for profit and not the care of our elderly. this company has a web site , and you cannot contact them with complaints, or concerns. The web site is poor and they have lost site of the product,(the elderly intrusted in there care ) this management company needs a wake up call in the management of these facilities; People need to be treated with services, and needs of rehab and care. money begets money spend more on staffing and amenities giving these treasured resources hope and dignity in the final years of their lives. hope this will help enlighten thoes looking for rehab and long term care.
